This is a very nice looking insect hotel. The serious issue is that the material used for the backing is super thin and cheap. The tiny screw holding the hanger stripped out of the thin backing almost immediately. I tried using a screw through the butterfly den to attach it directly to my post but even with the slightest bit of pressure it broke through the backing. I am going to have to remove the whole piece and construct my own using better material. I should have just built the thing myself. ... show more

I have an other brand and bees didn't hatch. We had a very cold winter two times in a row. Thought this was going to not help wild bees, but this spring the bees hatched now swarming all over this one. i am glad to help them. They need all the help to not die out.

Look I don’t know if it actually attracts the insects, I have not have it long enough but I did purchase some ladybugs and I was able to guide and shake some ladybugs in there. Once they got in they seem to enjoy it. Update: Less than a week later all the ladybugs left lol, Maybe it’s my area or maybe the lizards got them I don’t know but they did not stay they could not even fly but there instincts was telling them they need to keep going up so crawl out and up the hook the the tree. ... show more
