  • I'm a landlord!
Style: Bee House Color: Teal
I bought this in 2023 to hang where I tossed some wildflower seeds. I rarely see bees in my area so I didn't expect anything and completely forgot about it. This week I added a solar light to the area (for new puppy nighttime potty runs) and noticed my bee house has tenants! About 1/2 the tubes are in use - some with bits of grass and straw, and some with what looks like wax. The house itself is "weathering" and the joints are starting to separate a bit. I won't replace it as there are tenants so I'll just shore it up with some duct tape. Not at all disappointed in this purchase and may buy a second for another location. ... show more

  • SOLID
Style: Bee House Color: Teal
I received a heavy, solidly built bee house. It did not smell of any chemicals and all the little tubes were secured. The outside was nicely finished and all the edges were smooth. The back has a heavy, ring to secure it in place. This is a repeat purchase. Bees know where to go for the good stuff.

  • I have seen better ones
Style: Bee House Color: Teal
The size was as described. It was easy to install, just hang it....that's it. It is really cute, but I don't know how long it will last. The string to hang was very flimsy. I also have not seen a bee go near it yet. So performance got it 4 stars. Maybe over the next couple months it will attract bees. ... show more

  • Great for mason bees
Style: Bee House Color: Teal
Just received this. Yes, it's small but build very well for the price. Wonderful product for mason bees who are indigenous to North America. Pollinate 10 times as much as a honeybee.

  • Very cute bee house
Style: Bee House Color: Purple
What a great value for the price. This bee house is very cute. I hung it on a tree next to my veggie garden with tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and squash. I expect the bees to pollinate the flowers so I get a bumper crop of veggies this summer. I will be planting other flowers around the house, as well. So, I provided a nice shelter for the bees. I hope they pay rent by pollinating. I cannot review the longevity of this house. If it last a couple of years due to sun, heat and rain exposure, it is well worth the price. I look forward to watching the "friendly" bees. Maybe I should hang a sign stating "For Bees and Ladybugs Only" so wasps and other nasties stay away. ... show more

  • Tubes fell out when I received it
Style: Bee House Color: Purple
It's a nice little house but half of the tubes fell out and I had to hot glue them back in place

  • not weatherproof
Style: Bee House Color: Purple
A fun item to hang outside of your window and watch the nature in your backyard explore all of the elements! Not overly weatherproof, but it is appropriate for summer and fall months

  • Love these
Style: Bee House Color: Teal
I add a new one of these every year to the south side of my condo’s exterior to help support the native bee and wasp population locally. I started with one and they just keep growing. :) Secret trick: 1. use a wire brush (if it didn’t come with your hotel, most Americans get one to clean out their water bottle straws so look in your ‘weird utensil’ drawer) to remove all the extra wood shavings. The bees especially like a clean condo and will reject a tube for the smallest infraction. 2. Then, if you’re in 9b (I’m in CA), hang it in late Feb for a March enticement for the earliest of natives visiting your garden. Adjust your timing accordingly but in my experience orchard masons are the first to unearth themselves from their cocoons so you want space available when they’re ready to lay eggs later in the month. 3. Once they’re done your hotel will still be intriguing to all the helper wasps. I even had a bright turquoise mud dauber last summer, and she only eats black widows. The tubes seem to be too small for my area’s carpenter bees but you’ll still see them visit. ... show more
