The item was packed upside down and when I picked it up and out, a bunch of the sticks fell out and I had to put them back in. A little flimsy for a gift and I’m not sure how sturdy this thing will end up being. A little disappointing as this is a gift for my mother.

The glue designed to hold the inserts in place in the container was completely inadequate. The inserts fell out all over the box. The item is unuseable in this condition. Ridiculously shoddy workmanship. A 9 year-old could do better work. Also, it makes me distrust the product more genreally - an insect house designed to draw good insects to your garden to protect it form destructive insects. $30 a pop. When we first bought the large bee house last year and hung it on the fence, it sat empty...but this year, it is buzzing with bees! About 2/3 of the tubes are occupied and we see the bees flyIng back and forth to the garden from the bee house. We were pleasantly surprised that this actually works. poorly packaged and possibly poorly assembled -- roof was off (not attached) and bamboo tubes all over in the box .. was this previously assembled at all??? the price may reflect the quality of product and packaging :-(
