I bought these with some hesitancy...but they took 3 seconds each, to put together (adding the bolt to the right hole, that fits your dog - to make sure that they don't get through)....Charles tried twice and gave up, realizing there was no hope lol!     • Keeping Out the Dogs But Not Me!
Works as described, no real installation and a great price for two! Pick the length needed and screw the peg in the hole. I played with two different settings until I got the minimum opening for the cat but not the dogs! So far the dogs are mystified on how the door is partially open and won't nudge open more. I do think a more rambunctious dog could jump up or nose it out of the strike plate hole but that hasn't occurred to my over-achieving pup. I can go in and out without even stopping to move the latch. A win all the way around for me and cute! ... show more

I wasn’t sure how this product was going to work when I ordered. We have been using this product for a few weeks now this is such an excellent solution! We used a gate across the laundry room to keep our dogs away from the litter box, but the door to the laundry room always had to be open. This solution has allowed us to remove the gate and to keep the litter box hidden by only partially opening the door. No more stepping over that annoying gate. So simple to open the door. We needed a place to allow our cats to get away from dogs and kids while inside. We did not want to cut an interior door to provide for this need. We have been using for over 4 months. Cats can easily fit through the gap in the door and our 50lb dogs have not been able to push through and move the guard out of the door jamb.     • I was skeptical but very pleased.
We've just adopted a dog and he was very interested in our cat's food. I was trying to think of a solution where we didn't have to put up a gate or install some sort of cat door where his food was. This seemed like the easiest, most affordable solution but I was really skeptical to see how well it would work. It's super easy to screw in the little adapter that you put in the door latch hole, and I adjusted it so that the cat had enough room to get in but the dog couldn't get past it. It stays latched and even with force it doesn't budge much at all. I added the 2nd one in the pack to our bedroom when the cat needs some peace and quiet from the dog haha.
