This is a surprisingly lightweight mattress protector for our new, very heavy king-size bed. We bought an envelope style protector from our mattress store with the bed. However, we are in our 80s and struggled with trying to lift and maneuver the mattress to get the protector on the bed. We gave up after an hour and asked the store if we could return it. No, because of concerns that any bedding used might carry bedbugs but the store, Mattress Firm, was kind enough to give us a full refund anyway. Then we searched and found this ELIF Home Goods waterproof protector on Amazon—wonderful! It has elastic at the corners to keep it on the bed, we covered the $1,200+ mattress with it in less than 5 minutes with no heavy lifting, and best of all, it doesn’t move around or make noise when we’re sleeping. I bought this for my parents’ home for use in the bedroom. It was super easy to install, much easier than other waterproof pads we have tried in the recent past. Easy to wash and put back on the bed which was a must for my parents. The waterproof mess has seem to be working great, although I think there are other smaller pads they still use, but it’s a great piece of mind that their mattress will not get ruined in case there are accidents. Had trouble with sheets coming off the mattress, this topper worked perfect, I do not have that problem, the sheets stay put and the mattress is protected. The slings on the side fit a very deep mattress and keep everything in place.
