This is the perfect teleprompter for me and many many people. It’s an excellent value for money and the perfect size. Sometimes the teleprompter app can be a little confusing, but it gets better with each update. The image quality is good and the teleprompter is just so versatile! I can’t think of a scenario it wouldn’t work for, but I’m sure it works for 95% of users. Anyway, I’m just loving Elgato at this point. This is one of three products I bought from them over the last few months. Zero regrets!

Overall worth it but it feels like they fumbled the details. You can't import scripts in any way, you have to manually copy paste each one which is a pain with my workflow. Even if you find the folder where scripts are saved, adding them manually there won't make them appear in the prompter. If you paste in a script and something is off, there's no way to go back, ctrl-z doesn't work. You can't select all in the prompter either so you have to manually go through and delete every chapter. They don't mention that voice sync only works if you have an RTX 2060 or better. That's understandable but would be better if it was clearly stated. Finally, this thing isn't very useful if you don't have or plan to get other elgato stuff (specifically a stream deck) since it comes with no remote control. My last gripe is a small one, but the mirror is significantly bigger than the screen and there's no way to adjust the screen angle or mirror angle so, while I can see the full screen, I also can see random wires/power cords in the mirror because it overshoots the screen and catches my floor. The things it does well are - Built in screen that works seamlessly as a 3rd monitor. This means I can look at people while on zoom with a DSLR. It also means no worrying about forgetting to charge a tablet or other external teleprompter - Works well if you already have a stream deck. - Switching between chapters/scripts is much easier than on a separate tablet based teleprompter. Overall it's worth it for me to keep it at this price but it could be so much better with a few small tweaks.

This is a very easy item to setup and connect to any computer with USB-C. Operates as a second monitor and even though it's small, the text comes through clearly Great for those constantly presenting from home and wanting to avoid paper notes to keep you on script and your eyes up on the audience. But you need to keep it close due to the size. If you plan to use this in a conference room you may want to spend some prep time figuring out the closest you can get without the device being on cam.

Easy to setup and use. It's a little pricey for plastic but it's 100% effective with a DSLR. I had everything setup and running perfectly in 25min. Set the prompt width to 60-65% if you are close to the prompter.
