  • Great monitor solution for Atem Mini & Mini Pro for a price
I purchased this so that I can have dedicated monitoring for my four input sources going into my AMP during a live streaming broadcast and it works pretty good. I know the AMP has multi-view via the HDMI out, but I use the HDMI out from the AMP to my Atomos Ninja V for a backup recording of the main program output. With this unit, I still have preview monitoring, and a secondary backup of my program output. I also like the fact that I can go to full screen on any of the four inputs if I need to. I also like that I can monitor the audio from each input as well from the headphone jack. One thing I wish was better is the switching to listen to each source's audio. I wish there was a physical button I can just tap on to cycle through each audio source. Instead, I have to dive into multiple levels of the monitor's menu in order to cycle through the different audio sources. Not a trivial thing if you're in the middle of live switching a show, and you want to quickly preview source audio. Not a deal-breaker, as I don't need to do it so frequently, but enough to make it a bit of a nitpick nuisance. Also, I think this is a bit of a pricey monitor for what it is. It doesn't even offer waveform/vector-scopes, RGB parade, etc. for the price. It would have been a great deal if this was like $50-$75bucks less. Overall, it is a worthwhile investment for my workflow. If you're not needing to do a backup recording via the HDMI output of the AMP, then this becomes less of a need as multi-view takes care of previewing your sources. If you have an Atem Mini, this is a very useful monitor to have, since there is no multi-view in that unit. I would even venture to say, it is almost a necessity if you want to be able to easily monitor and preview your inputs before taking it live during a show. ... show more

  • Seetec Monitor Issues
I am writing this review to also get help, If I am doing something wrong please let me know. I got this Seetec Monitor to use with My Atem Mini - I use it mainly for streaming church services using the OBS, hence why it was important to see the various outputs before feeding to the live stream. I use 1 Canon Vixia Camcorder and 2 Canon Dslr cameras (T4i &T6i), with computer for presentations. What I like about the Seetec - The ability to see everything before sending to live stream. My problems 1. Using the OBS - with Seetec - Prior to the Seetec , the Preview on the left side of the OBS, enabled me to view what I was recording before posting. Once I connect the Seetec, I am unable to see preview on OBS, now the 2 views on the OBS is identical with the output view on the Seetec Monitor. So it apears that the Seetec disabled the OBS preview. 2. What I dislike about the Seetec -Once I run the DSLR cameras into the monitor (with the HDMI cables of course)- the functionality of the LCD display on the DSLRs are gone. You have to set your manual focus before the stream. If using a zoom lens it is difficult to make adjustments while streaming, since you have to manually focus. Thank God I have the camcorder as main camera to zoom in and out. 3.The price of the Seetec is high, however, an ordinary monitor would not allow you to view the 4 devices. Again if anyone who knows OBS really well, can tell me how to regain the functionality of the left preview screen using OBS and the Seetec, I will be grateful. ... show more

  • 4 display at the same time
Pro - portable, lightweight, plug into a wall out or by vmount battery. Input and output 4 hdmi. Con - made of plastic, not sure how long it can handle a impact. Just need to be careful with it to make the product last long. Not bright enough for outdoor use, only indoor. Screen size is kind of small for 4 display. Wish the display larger but then you will give up on the portability and cost. ... show more

  • Very dim - sound problems
FINAL UPDATE: (review follows) 11/9/20 So I received another, smaller monitor for $100 more in price (also an Amazon buy). This one is twice as bright, and crystal clear with a 4K display. Even though only 12 1/2", the display is far easier to view than the SEETEC. And the headphone sound is perfect. In fact, it is so loud and clear, I had to lower the volume down most of the way. Excellent for monitoring all my audio inputs from various sources. So glad I returned theSEETEC! Probably can't give the brand name here, but it is the A12 model, a well known monitor brand. Bought this to use with my ATEM mini pro iso. So do not need the 4 HDMI inputs, but wanted a decent studio monitor for a reasonable price. I was using an old 720p flatscreen, which worked well enough, but the resolution was low and the color was very inaccurate. So... this hooked up easily and I got all the signals for the multi view display. HOWEVER, only one side of my headphones gets sound and the speaker does not work at all. The headset has been never failed to work with any other device! Besides those malfunctions, I am very disappointed in the image. Yes, it is fairly accurate, but looks like I am watching through a smokey window. I tried all the adjustments available, but could not get much improvement. If you bring the brightness up too high, the pic just blows out. I think it is only 200 nits, which apparently is very low. At least my old flatscreen was nice and bright. I will probably not keep this. UPDATE: 11/7/20 I am starting to get used to the dim display, but the sound issues are a no go. I need to be able to monitor my program sound going out, otherwise I cannot know if sound is good (at least not in both ears) when I play video info in YouTube presentations. I even tried tapping HDMI audio output with an adapter plugged into the monitor output (tried all 4)...but nothing. I would have returned the unit for exchange to try another one, but Amazon did not offer that option. It's refund and wait, or nothing. Not sure I will bother going thru a reorder just to see if the speaker or headphone will work properly. Seems like a simple thing to get wrong. ... show more
