Neewer products are pretty decent overall, and this mini-teleprompter doesn't disappoint. Good glass, very solid frame and components. We're using much heavier camera gear (generally a Panasonic DVX200) than the typical DSLR, and it still feels quite solid. Setup takes a little time; it's not just a pop-it-open-and-go proposition. The usual thumbscrews to connect parts, etc. I labeled several areas of mine to make it clearer what parts go where when re-assembling (and good luck collapsing everything to get it back into the case!). My iPad Mini was too old to use Neewer's app, and since it's the app that connects with the controller, the controller couldn't be used on that iPad running generic 'prompter software either. But a newer Android tablet worked great. I do wish the controller's buttons were labeled; there's only four of them, plenty of room to stamp a little text to help new users figure things out. The smaller the teleprompter, the more you have to be careful with eyelines (moving the camera away helps, at least until the talent can't read the screen anymore). Overall, a good little unit; we'll be using it a lot!
