It took a bit of trial and error to figure out the best configuration for my equipment. I have a Panasonic G7 camera and I have a 14-42 lens on it. I tried to use my 10 inch android tablet with it, but you could see the edge of the tablet. I had to put the app on my phone and that worked fine. Some things if figured out was that the app shows a red bar for where you should be reading. I lined up that bar with the camera lens behind the teleprompter. That way I'm looking in the right spot. The remote is really useful for start/stop but also tuning the speed the script moves. I also had to change the script to add spacing between sections for better pacing. A watchout is that its very heavy and my lightweight tripod couldn't handle it. I had to get a robust tripod that can hold an elephant and now I don't have any issues. ... show more

No it's not as nice as the $1,000 or more teleprompters but its also not over $1,000. Bought this for a training video we were making where wording was very important and had to be accurate, having a teleprompter made it seem natural and direct to audience while being sure phrases and wording stayed spot on. Bought this to use in recording videos and doing live streams. Initially wasn't happy as couldn't find a tripod strong enough to hold it still, one flop over actually bent a mount I was using. (This device is all metal) After getting a better tripod, got it setup and solid to find out the app is difficult to use and the remote doesn't work at all. Ultimately, I bought a monitor small enough to place in there and hooked up to laptop showing PowerPoint slides. So I can now do what I wanted to do. Wish it had a better way to attach the camera, I had to take it completely off to remove or change SD card. If you're camera battery and card slot are on the bottom, it will work best with camera hooked directly to computer and with a dummy battery so you can mount it and leave it in between videos. ... show more

I got this TelePrompTer to use while I Stream as well as reading scripts for YouTube. Definitely helps me be more efficient when I make my videos and stream. Being able to look at the lens and see what my stream looks like at the same time is very helpful. Very Easy & Straight forward to set up. The Included cold shoe mounts and 1/4 20 threads is a wonderful touch, which i use for a light. Tray can support my 10" Tablet, and probably a slightly bigger portable monitor. Plenty of adjustments available for even my A600. I was even able to mount my Tascam 60D to the back end of the Teleprompter. Can definitely support a way bigger camera, and versatile enough to accommodate my apc camera. I'm Very Glad it came with a remote & Carrying case. Remote works with Elegant Teleprompter for Android and I'm pretty sure it would work on other Apps as well. I attached separate baseplates to make it easier to attach and remove the Teleprompter from the Tripod as well as easy removal of the camera itself, but not necessary if you don't have extra baseplates.
