I use this monitor with Apple Macs and the panel looks really good. Text is sharp and clean, almost like a Retina MacBook screen (maybe not quite, but close). If you’re pairing it with a Mac mini or Mac Studio (or even a MacBook with the lid closed), I’d say it’s almost perfect for that use — it gets the job done. But if you plan to use it alongside a MacBook (especially a MacBook Pro), you’ll definitely notice some color differences that you can’t do much about. Besides that, it’s a very good monitor for office work, programming, and even watching videos, unless you’re really picky about true blacks and all that. I have procrastinated reviewing this monitor because I am so thrilled with it in so many ways I don't know where to begin praising it. It fills every expected need as a PC monitor, with only one gripe from me: previous to purchasing it (my first 4K monitor) I had never heard of applications having or not having HiDPI, and was shocked to see how tiny, almost illegible, text is on displays from applications that do not have it. Fortunately, I do not frequently use those old applications, so I don't consider it a major gripe. I never tire of shutting down my PC and switching the monitor to its own capability as a smart TV. At 32" it is larger than my first one or few TVs, and the picture quality at 4K is amazing. Sometimes I watch a movie (Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, etc.) on it instead of my 4K 55" smart TV just for the novelty and to enjoy the beautiful imagery. (The same quantity of pixels packed into 32" instead of 55" makes a sharper picture, all contributing factors being equal.) I just love this thing. I frequently just let it play seasonal videos (fireplaces and snow or rain) that I have loaded into a flash drive, using the built in speakers, with the PC off, to add ambience to my den. For movies I switch on a Bluedee mini bar speaker sitting in front of my keyboard. There is a very cool, small remote control that sits on top of that speaker, that provides a very convenient power on/off switch, along with switches that directly connect to Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video, control volume up/down, mute audio, play, rewind/fast forward and pause movies/videos, switch back and forth between PC and monitor only, and my flash drive. Of course, the remote control works from across the room as well. This smart monitor/TV is now one of my prize possessions. I recommend it without reservation. Samsung has their own goodies built into it that will probably thrill some nerds, but I'm not smart enough to even investigate those. ... show more

Beautiful monitor! Picture quality is amazing. I have it sitting next to my Lenovo P16 with 4k OLED display, and it's the first screen I've used that the laptop display didn't put to shame! I'm using it for Solidworks, and it works very well for spinning models, etc. The almost tool-less stand was very nice to put together. Only a single screw, and it's a captive screw! Webcam is (mechanically speaking) really cool, but I haven't tried it out yet. I hear a lot of people bashing on the TV functionality and how it messes with the monitor functionality, but it switches tasks seamlessly for me... not sure what the complaints are about! The packaging is excellent and setup is easy. It is very well made. I bought it to replace an almost identical Samsung 4K monitor that started to blink, but I wanted speakers to avoid dependence on a sound bar. Also I wanted to experience a small size Smart TV before buying a large screen. I so not like the programming on most TV channels and especially Fox who I do not trust. It was disappointing to see Fox so prominent in the default channel selection of the Samsung, but it was not hard to make other choices. As noted in other reviews the sound is not great, but it is acceptable. The major issue was how to teach this Smart TV to accept all the inputs I wanted from my cable, PC and VCR. There was only one HDMI input so I bought the latest Rocketfish switch box which had 4 inputs. It was expensive, but it is very important to have high-quality switching because the Samsung is very sensitive to the nature of inputs. I wish there was a simple way to make it act like a 'dumb' monitor and just accept the inputs, but it insists on telling me what kind of input it is - and sometimes making mistakes. The worst mistake that almost made me return the unit was when I hooked up my high-end computer by using their 'PC' input suggestions. They logged me into Windows 11 with my Samsung account instead of my own account. This was a disaster and Windows 11 made changes in my account - but I closed it down and then hooked up my computer with the 'generic' HDMI input and never had more issues.(They still call it a 'PC' input but it is just a name that I could change.). When I switched to my xfinity cable at first it was not smooth, but it soon learned that this was a new input and the video from xfinity is true 4K. All of this is still a 'work in progress', but now switching is no issue and I am happy with the results. ... show more

I really regret buying this monitor. I frequently blacks out and the SlimFit camera is not recognized by the Mac OS. Sure, when it works properly, it has a great display, but the frustrations are simply not worth it.

I've never done a video review, I apologize if it's too long. TLdR is that the size (32") was massive once in person, with the ability to lower the screen still not effective enough in the height difference for me (I'm 5'0). I found myself having to look up and was getting neck pain from this. In addition, the sound quality is cheap. When in TV mode, the sound works adequately, however there's no depth and robustness to the sound like a real TV. When in PC mode, and hooked up with my Macbook, using a streaming service, the source echoes and has a glitching sound every few seconds. I tried my best and couldn't figure this out - I'm sure it's an input/output issues, but haven't found the solution when scouring the internet for solutions. Because I don't love it, I'm sending it back and will try with the M80C at 27" and hope the sound issue is resolved, though ratings and specs show the speakers on the M80C is even less optimized. :/ ... show more
