I’m 44 and have a movement disorder. I bought this to use at a festival at Zilker park. Pros: Came in fast, easy to assemble, sturdy, cup holder, cane holder, easy to use on hills and grass, bag is very roomy, backrest is easy to adjust by raising or lowering handles. Seat comfortable enough and the small armrest are nice. Sturdy enough for my 8 year old to stand on seat and see musicians, allowed me to walk so much faster, I was able to put food on seat and walk independently. I found it very maneuverable and I like the wheels and quality. I’ve had this condition for 13 years and this is exactly what I needed and didn’t know. Cons: my cane fell out of holder when sitting many times and the clasp eventually broke. I will just use sone Velcro in the future. I was able to push my young son on the grass fairly easy. It was very smooth on gravel of course. I didn’t find the need to be pushed on this trip but it was nice to have the option. Going down curbs very difficult and going up was slightly easier. That was my only true complaint. It is a tad heavy and big for me to pick up but I expected that and needed something heavier than the traditional rollators. I’m glad I bought this and look forward to trying it at other locations. I wouldn’t want to use it in a city like New York because of its size and weight. It would be too difficult to maneuver in subway. ... show more

Bought this for my mom, and the nursing home she is at refused to let her try it out or even see it, because they said she falls easily, and this is very unsafe for my mom. I know it's not. She has trouble walking and knew this would be great for her, because it's also a wheelchair. Her walker has no wheels and pulls to the right. If your love one is in a nursing home, keep this in mind when buying it. ... show more

  • Convenient and met my requirements

Got this for my 91 year old father to use for when he is outside his house. I wanted something that he could use as a walker but I could push him as a wheel chair. It works great and is reasonably priced and dad liked using it, but even though it is one of the lighter 2 in 1s that I found, it is still too heavy I think for Dad to use on his own. So am looking for a lighter weight roller walker from him to use when he drives on his own. It does take some assembly too so if you are looking for one to use out of the box this is not the one for you. I removed the side foot storage brackets to make it easier to get in and out of the car (they tended to catch on the seats taking the walker in and out from behind the seat or out of the trunk) and now store the foot pads in the front pouch along with the cane and cup holders that most likely will not get used. I recommend it for assisted transport, but might not be the best option for individual use if not strong enough to get the walker in and out of the car. ... show more

  • Overall, a very good walker with a transport seat
I’m 76 years-old with artificial knees and severe osteoarthritis in hips. I need the “Elenker Rollator-Walker with Transport Chair” for the out-of-doors to take walks around the neighborhood, attend grandson’s baseball games, and travel. The adjustable handlebars are the best feature. When adapted to my height, they enable me to walk with my back straight while pushing the chair. The hand brakes work very well. The chair fits nicely into the trunk of our Toyota Camry. It folds easily but doesn’t leave much room for luggage. My husband has no trouble lifting it. While the walker/chair looks very sturdy and is advertised as suitable for indoors and outdoors, it’s not well-suited to bumpy surfaces, uneven sidewalks, and potholes. The non-pneumatic wheels are listed as 10-inch, but they only measured about 9 inches each. My rollator slightly pulls to the left, so it takes a little concentration to keep it on the “straight and narrow”. The seat is adequate when used as a transporter or taking a brief rest from walking. However, the seat is too small for extended sitting. The width measured 17 ½ inches. I’m 5’4” with long legs and found the 10-inch depth of the seat to be too short. The back support was very comfortable. The seat measures 23 inches from the ground and cannot be adjusted for height. A nice feature is the extra set of handlebars. They are placed on the sides of the seat, aiding the occupant in sitting and standing. The seatbelt is an important safety feature. Be sure to use it when riding, or you may be dumped onto the pavement when a sudden bump trips up the chair. The cane holder is plastic and was already broken when my husband opened the box. The cup holder is nice but sticks out from the frame, so it may need to be detached when going through indoor tight spaces. Overall, I really like the Elenker walker/transport chair, but must proceed with caution when using it. ... show more
