I recently moved into an apartment where the bed is one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on. It gave me body pain nightly, the springs would poke me, and it was honestly more comfortable on the floor. Putting this mattress topper on it is seriously a life saver! I am in love with this. I have a very firm tempurpedic mattress I have grown to hate. I didn’t want to spend the money on a new mattress right now. So after some researching I decided to purchase this topper. My body had been aching for 3 months when I would wake in the mornings. Purchased this and the aches are gone. It’s super comfy. Reminds me of a hotel bed. I highly recommend. Best money I’ve spent in a while. I have had it for about an month now. I have not washed yet so I can’t speak for how it holds up after a wash.

So, backstory. My husband is very tall. 6’6”. And I have severe chronic pain and I need a little support but also enough floof in a mattress that my hips sink in some. (I also spend a lot of time in bed during flares). Well, round last winter, I was scheduled for a hysterectomy and my mother in law wanted to upgrade us to a Cali king instead of the queen we had for years. We SPECIFIED to the man at Macy’s that we needed medium-soft, and why. What arrives a month later and a week before surgery? Medium-hard. But it took the delivery team an HOUR to get the bed up my townhouse steps. They asked me to try it out after they took the wrap off. I immediately realize the mistake… but I’m introverted and a coward so I say it’s fine. For weeks we laid on that terrible mattress and wept. Now to the mattress pad. It took our mistake of a mattress and made it exactly what I needed. Support, with a fair amount of floof. It’s great and we’ve had it for some time. I just give it a shuffle when I change the sheets and it’s good to go! So if you too are too cowardly to send your firm bed back to Macy’s, this is the mattress pad for you. Or if you just like comfy mattress pads.

The topper certainly does add more softness to our memory foam mattress. My wife and I are both side sleepers, and our memory foam mattress is very good, but we were both still having to change position often due to hip pain. This topper has allowed my wife to sleep on her side all night without hip pain! I still am experiencing hip pain, though I'm able to lay on my side longer than before, but I weigh much more than her, so I'm pretty sure that is why. We plan on taking this with us when we stay in hotels, because we both experience severe hip and back pain from the conventional box spring mattresses most hotels use. Highly recommend, but must disclose that this will not help if you are heavy.

I don’t know about the cooling aspect, but I can say it doesn’t make me any more warm than usual. It’s very soft and plush. Easy to put on and I really enjoy that it fits like a fitted sheet. I have a 12” mattress and there’s plenty of space.
