I wish I had jumped on this bandwagon a long time ago. I have worked primarily with another major brand of 3D resin printers for some time now, starting off with a small DLP, then moving into larger, and newer, models as they were released. They've all required some tinkering at one point or another to get them working ideally, from leveling the build plates to messing with exposure settings and dialing in resins. Every single print, I was simply crossed my fingers and hoped for the best, with successes around 90-95%. Finally decided to see what the hype was all about with this Saturn 4 Ultra 16K printer. Ordered it on sale, and it arrived quickly, as usual. Got it set up and sent a "calibration" print from the USB. FAIL. Not only that, but a weird fail. Ok, I thought maybe it was just the file. Did an actual slice in Elegoo's SateLite program, and sent that...and success. And then a larger test/calibration print...success. And a smaller multi-part bust...success. Success after success after success. Even the tiniest parts, things I would have printed in multiples on my Any-something printers simply to hope one of them "stuck," printed flawlessly. Time after time. It truly is an "import, slice, send, walk away" process now. It is SO easy to use. Literally, use the Elegoo slicer, arrange your plate, default auto supports, slice, send...success. The quality is outstanding, but I've never really seen too much (with my eyes) difference with these higher resolutions; to me, anything over the older 8K "mighty" printers I've had is great. The features are also incredible, especially the integrated camera (when it works on the phone app, it's great), grabbing timelapses easily (something I've only been able to do with me FDM printers). The "bed leveling" feature is also great, and - knock on wood - I've not had any issues with that. The only thing I've done is upgraded to the Chitusystems vat setup for quick film replacement, and also upgraded to the PFA (nFEP) film from the standard FEP. The stock vat film - FEP - makes that lovely old-school POP sound; with the nFEP, it's much more reduced and doesn't effect the quality of the prints at all. Love this thing so much, I am thinking of ordering some more to replace the other printers that are not just sitting there, staring at me. The ONLY downside is that I wish it were bigger, like the "Max" sizes offered by the other brand, but for what this does, I am not complaining.

This is a nice unit. The 16K resolution is no joke. The prints are incredibly smooth, and for miniatures or high-detail models, it is arguably the best in its class. The printing speed is impressive. The tilting mechanism works well to peel the print, which is much faster than traditional lifting. Easy to set up and get printing. I've only had it for a couple weeks, so I will update if it turns out to be a dud. Did get it on a bundle sale with the Mercury wash and cure V3 plus, so that was cool! Once I got the resin dialed in I was able to pump out 6 statues in a 2 week period. All of them are in the pics. 1/6 scale except for the Dead Pool and Geralt ones, they're 1/9 scale.

I had a rough start with this printer. Part of it was faulty equipment. The rest of it was, well, user error. The printer was dead on arrival. Easy enough - was just a bad power brick. I contacted Elegoo support and they had me a new one right away. Super great service! And I was so excited to do my first print. Which totally failed. I’ve had two other resin printers so this didn’t really surprise me. I started to clean up the build plate to try again. And that’s when I saw it. I’d left the protective film on the build plate. Turns out, the resin doesn’t stick to the protective film - lol. Peeled the film off and finished the clean up. Hit print again. Perfect print. Loaded another model. Perfect print. Another model, perfect print. I’m five for six now. And since the first failure was my own fault because I’m an idiot, I can confidently say that this is the best resin printer I have used and I whole heartedly recommend it if you are in the market for a resin printer. It’s super quiet. I feel like it’s a good value for the money. Amazon is prompting me to comment on the smell. It’s fine. It’s a resin printer. The chemicals smell. You know that going in and you deal with it. Can’t take the smell? Don’t resin print. It’s pretty simple. But if you are going to resin print, this is a great printer to use. I’m going to go ahead and order a replacement screen. They wear out. It’s a consumable part. And as much as I am enjoying this printer, I can’t imagine being down because my screen went out. But I still have thousands of hours before I expect that to happen. If you are on the fence about this printer, just buy it. I think you’ll be glad you did!!

The printer quit printing a little after 2 weeks of use. I contacted thier customer support "if you want to call it that". At first they were very responsive and I gave them all the info and photos they asked for. They said it was warranty and they would send me a replacement screen but I had to completely disassemble a brand new unit to get the QR code off the LCD screen and send them a Pic of it. Which I did. A month later im still sitting here with a $400 and something dollar paper weight with no response from them. I've sent multiple emails even tried started another claim which they responded to asking for the pictures ive already sent them. So I sent them again and here we are getting ghosted again... terrible customer service... ive had better customer service at the ER with no health insurance. If I could give negative stars I would. Buy a different machine

this is now my go to resin printer. I had another brand from about 2018 that I’m replacing for the bigger capacity. However, just after buying this, the Jupiter two was released and I bought one of those too. The Elegoo Satellite slicer free version works pretty well it took a little getting used to it doesn’t have all the features of lychee or the other one but I really don’t like having to buy a subscription for software
