I sleep hot. Really hot. My husband is cold all the time. So blankets and room temperature are an ongoing battle. This blanket has helped that so much. You can feel a noticeable difference between this and a normal blanket, comforter, sheets. You can find it when your half asleep and the room is dark because it really is colder. As you sleep it does warm up a little, but you can just shake it out or rotate it. I also have ezcema and it really helps to not irritate my itchy skin. ⁵

Fantastic! I naturally run hot and now am living in the hot-humid south. This allows me to keep my AC at 76 and still sleep comfortably. I use a fan to blow over the top of me when I sleep - this makes the cooling on-top, as well. It is thin and lightweight which has taken a bit to get used to. I used a weighted blanket when I lived in the mountains. I am concerned about being able to wash it correctly. At this price, if I can't, I will just buy another.

First, the blanket is really thin, so thin that I thought it would feel too light, but it didn't. One side is cool and the other is normal. The cool side was definitely cool on the skin and remained so for the 4 or 5 hours I used it. I awoke in the night to go to the bathroom, and while the blanket was still cool, I was sweating. Sadly, the blanket doesn't breathe, so while it felt cool, it didn't actually cool the body and heat could not escape. I sleep with the A/C on 67 and have a fan blowing across my bed. The blanket I normally use is heavier, but it breathes. I can actually feel the fan through it. I could not feel the fan with the cooling blanket. When I returned to bed, I went back to my regular blanket, which was quite a shock after the cooling one. However, I could feel the fan and slept cooler. The next night, I decided to sleep on top of the cool side of the blanket, and voila, I found the perfect solution for me. Maybe I should just use a cooling fitted sheet, but this is working for me. In summary, it really is cool to the touch and against the body, but I prefer to sleep on top of it rather than under it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't breathe.

This blanket cools a little too well! I’m one of those people who doesn’t use a flat sheet normally, but I had to dig it out so the blanket doesn’t touch me directly because it’s too cold. Cools perfectly with the fitted sheet though.

The media could not be loaded. During the wintertime, my wife likes to keep the house a little warmer at night than I do. So in the interest of marital harmony, I decided to give this blanket a try, using it in combination with the comforter I normally use. Not really sure of the best way to combine the two covers, I tried all four possible combinations for at least two nights each way. Here's what I learned: Combo #1 - blanket UNDER comforter (i.e. next to me), shiny (nylon/polyethylene) side DOWN: VERY cool at first, but the temperature rose pretty gradually over about an hour to the point where it was definitely hotter than the comforter alone (which makes sense, as the comforter acted as an insulating layer; the heat absorbed by the blanket pretty much stayed under the comforter)! Combo #2 - blanket UNDER comforter, shiny side UP: started off at a pretty similar temperature as that of the comforter by itself, then rose a bit over about 30 minutes to the same level as Combo #1. Again, not the solution I was looking for. Combo #3 - blanket OVER comforter, shiny side UP: this was the definitely the hottest! After about 2 hours each of the nights I tried it, I was sweating and couldn't take any more! Combo #4 - blanket OVER comforter, shiny side DOWN (as in the video): THIS was the method I was looking for! After about an hour, the temperature was clearly cooler than the comforter by itself, but not SO cool that it was uncomfortable. I'd say that the level of cool stabilized after about four hours. Since finding the best solution for my needs (Combo #4), I have been sleeping more comfortably than I ever have been able to during my 15-year marriage to my heat-loving wife! It is no exaggeration to state that this blanket has changed my life for the (much) better. Moreover, after my experimenting with it, I'm certain that it will work (as advertised) to keep me comfortably cool in the summer as well! One final point (also mentioned in the video): because the nylon (cooling) side can be really slippery on fabric, I've found it useful to secure the corners to my comforter with safety pins. This is not at all a bother; in fact, the safety pins help me make my bed in a flash! I think you'll find this blanket to be well worth the money.
