This is a very nice trike. My husband wasn't happy about taking 5 hours to assemble. He thought the instructions should have been more explicit. It was trial and error a few times trying to put it together correctly. Other than that, I am loving this trike. I'm 73, have arthritis and 7 major orthopedic surgeries. Walking is hard at times. After learning all about how to operate the trike, and try it out, I love it. I had not ridden a bike in 20 years, so it took me a bit more time to adjust. I bought the new Alaskan, and it has more power than I will ever need. I highly recommend this trike. It is a lot of fun! It was interesting to learn that the front basket has a handle and can be removed to use as a shopping cart, then snap right back on. I thought that was a nice touch. The rear basket is very large. I think my 47-pound dog could ride back there. I'll wait until I get more proficient before I try that. Now she runs alongside me while I ride the trike, and she gets a lot more exercise than I could do walking her. It's a win, win! Great trike for seniors. ... show more

I’m a 64 yo woman, roughly 5’5”. Putting her together, without her accessories, took my husband and I about 3 1/2 hours. We ran into a problem with the fit of the fenders/cargo basket, but once we figured out the secret “lift and shimmy” to make the brackets all align, it worked out fine. She’s powerful and takes some skill to ride; quickly gained with practice. I’m using her as a garden/yard helper. Instead of dreading going back to the shed to get a tool, now it’s a pleasure. I have arthritic knees/back/ankles and wasn’t sure I’d be able to handle her, but she’s a RELIEF. I will be doing much more gardening now that I own my Alaskan. Pre-purchase, I contacted customer service twice and received helpful and friendly results both times. Post-purchase, they contacted me to make sure I was satisfied. I am very happy to give this review. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she’s more than I could have hoped for. She’s sturdy. Very powerful. She demands respect though. Buy a helmet. Learn to ride her correctly. Highly recommend! ... show more
