  • Good enough for the money
Style: 500W Peak Motor - 8.5'' - 21 Miles - Mid...
It's good enough to travel around the campus or for short commute. It rides well and has good traction, can handle riding on gravel. Does not require much assembly, just attach the handlebars with four screws to the rest of it. It does not feel wobbly or like it will fall apart. I believe that it goes 18 miles per hour but did not measure it against an external method. It takes about 6.5 hours to charge, and will not start charging immediately if the battery is too hot, for example after being in a car trunk. Just leave it connected and it will start charging when it is cooled down. The charge time times charger maximum current of 1A means that this has a 6.5Ah battery AT MOST and not 7.8Ah as stated. One thing that is pretty annoying about it is the tire inflation. The rear valve sticks out enough to comfortably use a quick-release pump, but the front one is really sunk in and needs an adapter. But the included adapter is so designed that the tire valve remains open throughout the most of the unscrewing process. This will let out more than half of the air from the tire before you detach it, and tire pressure is crucial. With tires I thought I inflated to 50psi but were actually 20psi because of this, I had barely 5 miles range in sports mode, which is quite disappointing. But after I have carefully modified the tire inflation adapter to press on the valve just after the final 1-2 turns of the thread, and inflating to 50psi, I got about 7.25 miles in sports mode which is still less than I have expected, but significantly more than with improperly inflated tires. This is with some not very steep hills, stops and riding at 18mph wherever possible. I include the pictures of the extender hose before and after the modification. It is necessary, as the electric scooter tires have much lower volume than say a bicycle, and the loss of air during pump disconnection is NOT omissible. Just be careful and don't cut off too much of the center piece or you will be looking for a different inflation method. The deck of the scooter could be a bit longer. It fits comfortably in a car trunk. The scooter does not have an app, which is a great thing because it will not be bricked by the app or some remote server no longer working. It always starts in eco mode which is slow, and you need to switch it into sport mode. It can do both zero-start and push start. I think push start is better because it uses less battery. The cruise control can be disabled. The motor is actually rated 350W, so this is a bit deceptive. It comes with one spare inner tube which is nice. The rear brake also activates the regenerative braking as I have tested by spinning the lifted front wheel and applying the brake. The stickers visible in some of the pictures did not come with the scooter, I just put them on since it looks exactly the same as about one third of all electric scooters I have seen around here. ... show more

  • safe for grandma‘s… Fun for daredevils
Style: 500W Peak Motor - 8.5'' - 21 Miles - Mid...
I am in my late 40s and attempting to ride an electric scooter for the first time to avoid using a shuttle for work. Probably not the brightest idea… But I am athletic and decided to give it a try. I really like the safety features on the scooter. I like that I can set it in three different modes that prevent me from exceeding the preset miles per hour cap, so I can ride like a grandma if I want to, and even if I slip and hit the throttle, I cannot go too fast. I also like that when I release the throttle, the scooter gently slows down, and I can use my feet to propel myself as I turn or balance as I stop. It’s also nice that it has two start modes. Zero start and push start… Definitely makes it easy for me to segway into comfortability with riding a scooter. with this being said, it does speed up like a rocket if you want it to, and can go quite fast on the “expert” setting. Overall, I feel like this will be a very safe ride, despite my lack of experience and my age. i’m actually very excited about this product and can’t wait to use it for its intended purpose. The reason I selected this particular scooter was for the pneumatic tires, which I felt would add to a smoother ride versus solid tires, and I was correct. This scooter rides very smoothly. I also wanted something that would fold up so I could carry it into work. It is a little larger than I expected, but the weight is OK, and considering the time it can save me, I do not consider this a downside to the scooter. overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. it even came with a spare inner tire tube, which was not listed on the product description. ... show more

  • Ethical business team...they sent me a dud...but then they made up for it!!!
Style: 500W Peak Motor - 8.5'' - 21 Miles - Mid...
2nd Review: After doing their due diligence, Wawscote was ethical enough to refund me both the cost of the scooter and the shipping charges that I initially paid. For that, I am updating my rating back to a 5*, because I think everyone has a problem product now and then. But if the seller acknowledges and believes the customer and gives them a full refund, I say hats off to such a business. They deserve to stay in business. My one suggestion would be that they perhaps should do better testing of every piece of their product, thereby minimizing the chances of failure. 1st Review: Wawscote is a chinese seller of generic electric scooters. The quality of the scooter is really poor, it fails to work within a day or two at most. And then, when you try and ship it back, they ask you to pay for the postage upfront. So you do that, just so you can return the item. And then they don't reimburse you for the shipping charges. So as a customer, you get hit with a double whammy. First you get a lousy product that does not work. And second, you get to pay to ship it back to them, and they don't pick up the shipping costs. See the attached pic. The red light on the menu is telling you that the battery is not charged. And you can plug it as long as you want to the electric socket, the battery will not recharge, and the light will remain red. ... show more

  • Reliable Scooter
Style: 500W Peak Motor - 8.5'' - 21 Miles - Mid...
I’ve had this electric scooter for a month now, and it’s honestly exceeded my expectations. It was super easy to assemble — just a few quick steps and I was ready to roll. The scooter is really fun to ride and surprisingly powerful. I got the 500W version and it picks up speed fast and handles small hills without a problem. The range is great for my daily errands — I usually ride around 15–20 miles on a single charge with no issues. It folds down easily, so I can store it in my trunk or carry it up the stairs when needed. It’s not super heavy either, which is a big plus. ... show more
