  • absolutely fantastic escooter with plenty of power
Style: RS500(1000W,35Miles
I used to have a few ebikes when I lived in the suburbs and they were a lot of fun to ride around on. But when I moved into the city, I had to sell them because there was nowhere to store them. My Son asked for an escooter for Christmas, so I got him one, and within 10 minutes of putting it together and testing it I knew I wanted one of my own. I checked a bunch of YouTube videos and one escooter I kept seeing mentioned that it "punched above its weight class" was the Cunfon RS500. It had front suspension, a taller wider deck, good brakes and tires, a built-in speaker (for your phone to play music), running lights, tubeless tires, a powerful rear motor, and a good host of other features (like turn signals). So, I decided to try that one. When it arrived it was even larger than I expected, but with that I found it felt much more stable and less 'wobbly' than when I tried out my kid's scooter. It's easy to ride, and I found if I sort of ride it like I used to ride my skateboards, I can even bend my knees and steer with my feet a bit while holding the handlebars loosely. The motor is powerful, and I've had no trouble going up hills. My son and I have been riding our scooters together every day after school and even using them to run errands or go to night classes and sports practice. They've been a great 'vehicle' for running around the city a bit within a few blocks of home. I understand now why I see people using escooters all over the city. They're just easy, fun and convenient. The battery life seems very good, and we haven't even come close to running out of power while we're running around. It has 4 'modes', Park -Eco -Sport -Race. Generally, I've been keeping it in Eco mode and just doing like 10mph around town, but I found switching to Sports mode while going up hills makes it climb up the hills very easily. The machine easily gets up to about 25-30mph while seems plenty fast and really a little faster than I need. All in all, it's been a fantastic machine. So much so that I've started looking at the Cunfon 1000 model that has 2 motors and knobby tires for 'offroad' use. It also looks like a lot of fun. One thing that could be a bit better is the instruction manual and the use of the phone app. There's just not a lot of features documentation and I had to google how to do certain things. For example turning the running lights off and on you have to click the 'M' (mode) button 3 times quickly. Things like that should be in the manual but I didn't see it anywhere. I had to google to find out that info. I reached out to them about the manual and told them it was disappointing, but the machine is great. They were quick to respond, and I get the impression they might be taking another look at possibly upgrading the manual. They did answer all my questions though and even provided a quick video showing how to do use some features on the bike. One thing I can point out. The bike arrived in 'kick start' mode. At first, I thought the bike was broken. No matter what mode I was in when I pushed the thumb-throttle, nothing happened. I realized you need to put one foot on the board and push off while holding down the throttle to activate the motor. I wasn't crazy about this and wanted the throttle to just work immediately. But now that I've gotten used to it I actually prefer it. You can disable kickstart and make the throttle immediately engage the engine. Another thing was 'cruise control' was on automatically. I didn't like that either. When I took my thumb off the throttle and the scooter kept going it was concerning at first. But I figured out in the app you can just turn off cruise control. Which I did and it's fine now. Between the cool running lights, the front suspension, the great tires and brakes, the powerful motor, the wide and comfortable deck, the solid construction with no sketchy looking welds, I'm really loving this scooter and strongly get the feeling that while it may be my first it won't be the last. In this price range I think you probably can't find a better scooter. I know I spent a day looking at a ton of review videos and kept coming back to this one because it just seems to have the best features for the price. The scooter has plenty of power. ... show more

  • Great Electric Scooter For The Price
Style: RS500(1000W,35Miles
The media could not be loaded. This scooter is a great buy if you are in the market for a reliable commuter electric scooter. Front suspension works well on bumpy brick roads and sidewalks. The scooter deck is wider than comparable brands' making for an easier riding experience. The blinkers are in a great spot to let other drivers/riders know you are turning and the front light shines well at night. The max 25 speed is wonderful for general everyday use. Assembly is super simple - maybe 10-15 minutes tops out of the box. Battery life is long enough to have multiple rides before recharging. ... show more

  • I love it! Great Scooter!
Style: RS500(1000W,35Miles
I’m really happy with this scooter! It’s built really solid it doesn’t feel cheap at all. It is very fast and comfortable to ride, the battery life is pretty good for what I use it for. This is definitely not a child’s toy! Every one that I’ve let ride it comes back with a big smile on their face.

  • Powerful, Fast, not seeing 50 mile Range per charge
Style: RZ800(1200W,50Miles
It might go better on the eco mode, but at the faster speed I am seeing about 10 miles off a charge, and the scooter sends an error message around 20% E56 and shutdown have to walk it home. This is my first electric scooter and it is powerful, climbed up hill in grass no problem. Amazing something out of the box can go this fast. I like the shocks and suspension, breaks work well though not exactly sure how I will service them when I have used it more, overall pretty stable might need to tighten up some of the parts on it. There might be a fast charger. Current charge time is 8 hours which would be nice to see an improvement on. I like the bluetooth app, has ability to lock and unlock. Haven't tried all the features yet. It is around 70 lbs if I remember correctly - not impossible to carry but definitely not something you would want to carry for long distances - can roll it home if there is an error like I am getting, that said in the coming years we will likely see lighter versions with greater range which will be cool to see, easily take on the public transit. ... show more

  • DANGEROUS TRASH. A Total Liability and Bait-and-Switch. DO NOT BUY.
Style: RZ800(1200W,50Miles
I wish I could give this scooter zero stars. The CUNFON RZ800 is not a means of transportation; it is a monument to cheap manufacturing and a genuine safety hazard. This scooter is, quite simply, garbage right out of the box. The build quality is flimsy. After less than 50 miles, the handlebar stem developed a dangerous wobble that no amount of tightening could fix, making every ride feel like a gamble. The "long-range" battery is a complete bait-and-switch. I got maybe 5-7 miles on flat ground before the meter plummeted from 80% to dead, leaving me stranded miles from home. The displayed speed is wildly inaccurate, making it impossible to judge your actual pace. Worst of all, the brakes are a joke. They squeal incessantly and, when applied aggressively, they simply do not stop the scooter reliably, especially going downhill. I nearly had two major accidents because of the non-existent stopping power. This is a death trap marketed as a commuter solution. If you value your time, your money, and your physical safety, scroll past this product immediately. It is an overpriced liability with non-existent customer support. BUYER BEWARE. ... show more

  • A good scooter so far.
Style: RZ800(1200W,50Miles
Very good so far, battery holds pretty well going from home to work then college and back. My only minor gripe with it is the front wheel has a limited steering ark, while not a problem while actually riding it, it makes positioning it a bit awkward while not riding, I typically end up giving up and pick it up to position it, though it is quite hefty. The shocks are very nice and make for a surprisingly smooth ride and the built in lights serve there purpose well enough for visibility in the dark and to other vehicles. The alarm and fingerprint make a decent theft deterrent but I would still get a lock if you leave it outside of line of sight. Build seems very solid aside from the plastic wheel guards, everything else seems to be metal giving it a very sturdy structure. ... show more
