The speed on the scooter is a little fast for a 3 yr. old but with a helmet, he'll be fine. He's a little dare devil anyway. We purchased 2 scooters. One of them arrived defective, the button to turn it on was missing, it was just a hole. The other scooter doesn’t really work. It kicks in intermittently. Would not recommend purchasing

This is a good little scooter. I bought for my 5 and 3 year old granddaughters. It’s perfect for the 5 year old. The 3 year old is a little leary to use it. It has 2 speed capability, is able to connect to phone via Bluetooth for music, and has lights in the front and under the scooter. This is so bad. I had to get 2 of them as it randomly stops and starts. Both of them did it. My daughter was so disappointed. The latch also doesnt stay around handle bars to keep it in place. Also the smallest incline it slows down to 2 mph. Don't buy!!

I purchased this for my 3 year old niece. It is great, but a little fast and has the power...lol. My son, who is 7, absolutely loves it. It needs a hard surface to ride smoothly on, so no carpet, grass, rocks, etc. We also love that it folds and stores away nicely.

It worked well for a few days, but it stopped accelerating after the display froze up. The rainbow LED strip wouldn't turn off until the battery drained. Going to return for another because my daughter loved it while it was working. The Bluetooth speaker still works and sounds great.
