    • Night rider approved — side lights make a real difference
I mostly use this for evening rides around the neighborhood and short trips to the grocery store, and the lighting setup is honestly why I pulled the trigger. The headlight is bright enough for unlit side streets, but what I really like are the side LEDs — cars actually see you at intersections instead of trying to sneak past. Disc brake feels solid, no squealing so far. Paired it with the app in like 30 seconds, cruised around at ~15 mph which feels plenty fast for bike lanes. Only tiny gripe: the kickstand could be a hair sturdier on soft ground, but otherwise zero complaints after 3 weeks. ... show more

Read through the warranty breakdown on this one and figured worst case I'm not out that much. Two months in: no regrets. Build quality feels way better than the price suggests — no loose bolts, paint's holding up, disc brake bite is consistent. Bought this for my daily commute (about 3.5 miles each way in Seattle) and it's been a game changer. At 31 lbs I can actually carry it up the 2 flights to my apartment without dreading it, and the 1-second fold is no joke — takes me less than 5 seconds to collapse it and tuck it under my desk at work. The 350W motor has enough punch to get me moving from stoplights without feeling sluggish, and I'm getting right around 12-15 miles per charge riding in "D" gear most of the time.
