    • A Super-fun, well built scooter!
I bought this scooter because it offered 450 watts of power along with the 19 mph top speed and the per-charge distance of 19 miles. The price was very competitive on Amazon. I have only used Superfun S1-A scooter for one day. The scooter seems solidly built. Out of the box, it took 5 minutes to assemble: literally, you need to unfold the scooter, insert the handlebar on it’s post and put in 4 screws. That’s it! The battery came fully charged. It took little time to learn the scooter and I was riding it immediately. I took it out for a 6 mile test through city streets with various road conditions. The scooter performed well; there were no defects noticed. It achieved and maintained 19 mph maximum speed on even ground. On moderate inclines/ hills it slowed down to 9 mph. After 6 miles, it showed 3 bars (out of 5) battery left. For reference, I am 6' tall and weigh 175#. The scooter weighs around 32#– very manageable. Some issues that I would like to see addressed by Superfun: 1) The brakes were extremely sensitive. The front brake was quick to grab and if not careful, would throw me head over the handle bars! I have found instructions on how to adjust and will try them for next time. 2) There are a lot of rattles in the scooter, although I could not isolate any part that seemed loose. 3) The suspension is so-so, and in combination with the solid tires (not pneumatic), the ride was very bumpy. 4) I could not find the “password” lock feature on the app. I have contacted Superfun to get directions. 5) I would like to see metal bumpers instead of plastic. The plastic ones seem flimsy and I doubt they will last the lifetime of the scooter. Overall, I like the Superfun S1-A scooter. I hope to enjoy it for a long time riding around town.     • I Cut My Commute Time In Half
I was browsing scooters for about a year, uncertain if I was getting a luxury item. I wondered if I were buying myself an urban jetski I'd seldom use and then for only recreation. I was wrong. I live close to my work, but this scooter cuts my commute time in half because I have no stops and can zip through parking lots. This scooter folds up nicely and is well hidden and out of the way at my workplace. It's light enough to carry down the stairs of my apartment comfortably. In my option, it's the kind of weight that is healthy for a man to be comfortable carrying with one arm down a flight of stairs. It also fits perfectly in the back of my small SUV, and it looks incredibly cool when you pull a smaller vehicle out of your car like you are from the future. I might get a second one. Two will fit in the back of my car for sure. There is an app. Despite other reviews, YOU DO NOT NEED THE APP. You can turn the headlight on by double pressing the power button and quickly shift gears without it. It is cool to have the app, though. You can lock the scooter with the app. Without the app, you can't lock it, making the wheels not move properly. There are 3 gears. ECO, which tops out at 10mph and seems most safe. Then there's "D,." It tops out at 15mps, and things start to get dangerous downhill, but it's fun. Then there's "S" mode, maybe "Sports" mode. The manual says 18 or 20mps, but you can gain momentum. Be careful with S Mode. I'm not trying to show off or race competitively. I use ECO mode almost exclusively, and the battery life is great for my short commutes. I should be charging it more than I do, but I use Eco mode. I barely have to charge it once or twice a week and then only if I feel like it. It's never gone dead on me. I know this thing is reducing wear and tear on my car. I've made so many trips on it; if I translated it into starting and driving my car plus gas consumption, it seems beneficial. I don't know if it is saving me money, but I suspect it probably is. ... show more

Bought this for our son after his electric motorbike died. This scooter is awesome and goes way faster than his motorbike did. Very sturdy and everything seems well put together and durable. Easy to use and connect to App to control. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the battery doesn't seem to last as long as advertised. Could be because he rides full speed most of the time! 😁 We love this scooter. ... show more

    • Great bang for the buck
So far the only issue I have is how flimsy the rear fender is for the rear tire, seems to flop around easily and rub on the rear tire a bit. I am concerned for the cover for the charger port cuz it doesn't seem to snap on very snug to prevent dirt or debris getting into it, a threaded cap would have been better but it's not the end of the world. Other than that, very solid dependable scooter so far. Goes the speed as advertised and the distance advertised. I took it the day after receiving it on a long distance ride and it's great. Will be mainly using it as transportation to work to save on gas so I'm happy with it. ... show more

I bought this scooter for my spouse. So far she loves it! The design is sleek and nice. The ride is smooth, it’s fast, and it can be folded after use. Building the scooter was easy and quick. So far this was definitely worth the purchase price; however, we just unboxed. More to come soon!

    • Lots of fun, too big for a smaller teen though
It was really hard to tell whether this would be a good fit my my daughter or not. We quickly charged it up, other than that need, it works great right out of the box and is a lot of fun to ride. The only issue I have is that the arm/handles do not adjust up and down, so for someone who is shorter, it is not great. I would say you should probably be at least 5' tall for it to be a comfortable handle height. That is just an estimate. Anyway, I love the scooter, too bad it was a gift for my kid. ... show more
