It heats fast and cleans nicely. With half full of water, I was able to boil it in about 5 minutes. It is perfect for dorm in my experience. Clean up just needs few paper towels to wipe it out. What I didn't like is that it tells you to be super careful not to scratch the surface. Sure, I get how it could ruin the non-stick coating. Should the coating be that weak? I wonder how long this will last with recommended use of wooden/silicon tools. ... show more

This is a very versatile unit and super easy to use to cook all sorts of food. The main unit seems well made and heats up fast, cleans up easy. The steamer basket is a little cheaper plastic but works fine, I just don't know how long it will last with frequent use.

This is perfect to take with me to hotels when traveling. I can heat up water, make rice or oatmeal or anything really. It was easy to use and clean after. It heats up fast. I suggest this item.
