I bought my Paselec GS9 last September and it's now March, so this counts as a long-term review. After six months the bike is holding up great and I still look forward to every ride. For the price, I don't think I could have done better. Naturally, nothing is perfect, so here is a list of my pros & cons: Pros: 1) I bought the black model and am pleasantly surprised that it doesn't look like an e-bike. It looks like a regular mountain bike. 2) Hydraulic brakes. My first bike with hydraulic brakes. Once you've tried them, you'll never go back to regular brakes. 3) My first bike with dual-suspension and it makes a difference, even on paved trails. 4) Service is excellent. I had a couple of minor issues and when I emailed Paselec support with my questions, they responded quickly and helpfully. 5) The tires are wonderful. 6) It comes with 9 speeds. I've noticed that most bikes at this price point have 7 speeds. The 2 extra gears make a difference. Cons: 1) Not really a con, but I am 6'1'' in my biking shoes. The bike fits my height comfortably, but only just. Maybe it'll work for you if you are 6'2", but beyond that look elsewhere. 2) If you want to charge the battery inside, you have to lay the bike down to remove it. A pain, but not a deal-breaker. 3) Because of the shock absorber, there isn't enough room on the frame to mount a water bottle. 4) Save yourself some grief and buy some quality titanium stem bolts (M3x18mm) to replace the cheap aluminum ones they include. It'll make assembly and maintenance much easier. Overall, this is a terrific bike and how Paselec can sell it at this price eludes me.

Well this is our second passed EBike. My husband uses this as his daily transportation to work for 20 miles total a day. The bike has been pretty amazing overall. Customer service has been pretty helpful in trying to replace parts as they start to break down. The only major issue that we repeatedly had to deal with was the battery life only tended to last 3-6 months at most. So that was a constant expense when you use it daily. Also brakes needed to be replaced frequently and it can be a struggle to find specialists that know enough about electric bikes. We had to troubleshoot a lot on our own. But we did have a good experience and decided to purchase a second bike cause the first is now two years old and in need of maintenance. Well we ordered the same bike and now this new bike doesn’t have cruise control?! This is a deal breaker for my husband. Paselec….why are the speed controls different on this bike yet when you read the manual for setting up cruise control it doesn’t work!!!??? How can we fix this????

TERRIBLE After one year the gears slip constantly and the power hasn't work in six months. Service isn't any help and no one wants to work on a foreign ebike. Im still paying it off, DO NOT BUY from this brand.

I have no complaints about this bike. It’s a very capable light trail and paved trail e-bike. I have added accessories such as a wide saddle seat, a phone mount, a stem extension for the handlebars,(I’m very tall 6’6”) front/rear mud guards, and a cargo rack made for a full suspension bike.I also upgraded the front and rear shocks to air shocks. I had to modify the rear shock mount and fabricate my own bracket so I could put a 190x50mm rear shock on it. The rear shock that comes with it is 170x60mm which is nearly impossible to find in a replacement air shock.(Paselec if you read this you need to put a more common sized rear shock on this bike so people can upgrade to better shocks without a hassle) JUST WANT TO MAKE CLEAR THE SHOCKS IN MY PICTURE ARE NOT WHAT COME WITH IT, AND THE REAR SHOCK MOUNT BRACKET WAS FABRICATED BY ME. The shocks that come with the bike are perfectly fine, but I wanted a more plush comfortable ride so that’s why I upgraded to air shocks. I also added a voltage/capacity digital display so I know exactly how long I have with the battery when I’m out riding. The display that it comes with only has battery on it with dashes to let you know where the battery level is, it doesn’t show how many volts/percentage is left. I’ve had this bike since November 2022 and no issues so far. Also customer service is actually really good. They do whatever they can to help you, which isn’t very common these days.
