I love how the top comes off so I can pour water into it from my large jug. It is lightweight. Did not have toxic smells. Water tastes good. Best is I can heat water to low temperatures also at 104 F. Perfect for my detoxes that need only luke warm water. It shows you the current temperature of the water so you can stop it whenever. It's so easy to use once you get used to the buttons. It is lightweight. Easy to lift which is so nice. The shape and feel are very nice.

I just received this electric kettle. So far it works very well; however, I am rating it 3 stars overall because the product description for this electric kettle is misleading and I feel like I was duped based on the seller's response when specifically asked if there is any plastic inside the kettle and the seller said "no" which is NOT true, there IS plastic inside the kettle. "Q: Are there any plastic parts inside the kettle (that has contact with the water)? A: NO. Water only can contact the glass and stainless steel part and it's BPA free. " Direct quote from the listing: "Safe Materials - MILIN hot water kettle is made from food grade glass and stainless steel, and ensures that none of the BPA-free plastic parts touch the water for contaminants-free water." I take issue with these statements because there is a wide black plastic rim that frames the top of the pot INSIDE and out. There is also a clear hard plastic filter at the spout and the heated water is poured through that plastic filter. Lastly, I assumed the underside of the plastic lid would be stainless steel, not so, it's just hard plastic, as one can see from an attached photo. Water condensation from heating the water collects on these plastic parts and drips back into the heated water. How can they say that no plastic touches the water when there is a hard plastic filter that the water flows through when pouring from the pot? Also, I seriously doubt that the plastic is BPA-free because no where on the packaging does it state BPA-free, nor is there a BPA-free recycle symbol (with the numbers 1,2, or 5) on the packaging. I visually inspected all of the components and included materials - there is no BPA-free recycle symbol, nor is it spelled out anywhere. In this age, if a product was made using BPA-free plastic that is something the manufacturer would include on the packaging as it is a selling point. I have included photos that show the plastic filter inside the spout; the bottom of the hard plastic lid that fits inside the kettle. I have also included photos of the package to show others that no where on the package does it state BPA-free. There is no number inside the recycle symbol which would identify the type of plastic used. Numbers 1,2 and 5 indicate the product is BPA free. The product was made in China.

This Electric Kettle is great! It is sleek and functional, heats up quickly and you can even see it at work. The change from blue (heating) to green (ready) is a great visual addition! The heat plate is light and has a long enough cord and even includes cord storage for those times you need to pack it away or just don't need so much cord to use. Having the keep warm feature is wonderful as well, just wish the instructions were a bit more useful as it can get tricky to get it to stay on the keep warm feature if you don't press buttons in the correct order. I took away a star because of that. The auto-off feature works like a charm. Whether you run out of water in the carafe or just left it on keep-warm too long it auto shuts off for safety! All in all a great kettle that is made and functions well with a nice visual appearance to it. Just wish the instructions for the keep warm function were a bit less vague.

Great little tea kettle. Very fast! You can select one of about 6 temperatures, plus a" keep warm" setting. Kettle lights up blue while heating, and looks great at night. My only complaint is laughable - I don't like the color of the green light that indicates it is keeping warm. I've used electric kettles for a long time - love that I can't boil them dry (ask how many pots we ruined on the stove before we got electric kettle!). My previous kettle was very loud, so I was hoping for a quieter one - this one is definitely quieter, though still makes some noise. This is especially an issue during these COVID times, as I work on my computer in the dining room, and it is very disruptive for family members to heat water while I'm teaching online. This one is both quieter, plus we agreed to put it on "keep warm" before the meeting, so it just takes a moment of noise to get it hot enough for tea. Everyone is happy! My only concern is - with all these electronic buttons, I'm wondering how long this kettle will last. The old one gave me 17 years, will report back on this one.

Milin Electric Kettle. 1.7l with temperature control. This kettle heats water quickly. It has temperature controls designed for different types of tea. When the water is at the desired temperature the kettle beeps discreetly. You wouldn't hear it from the other room but I like it because it doesn't aggravate my migraine headaches. My biggest complaint is the way the cord is attached to the base. It was very wobbly until my husband did some wrangling and twisting to get the cord to fit into the slot intended for it. Now it's fine but if he hadn't been available I would have just returned the kettle. The documentation that comes with the kettle is very sparse but I was able to figure out the important bits. It took me awhile to figure out how the "keep warm" feature works but I have it now. The kettle came with a QR code that was supposed to provide warranty information. It just takes me to a "Page Not Found" link. I can't find warranty information on their website either. Luckily, I haven't had any problem heating water for my tea so I'm happy.
