Works as outlined in product description. Found it very good for steaming vegetables. Set it and forget it. It can be set to heat, boil and steam in increments of 6 minutes and then go to standby warm mode. Boils fast. With a little experience vegetable type, quantity and time is a cinch. Lost one star because there is a learning curve for setting the controls.

The user manual is a small piece of paper with 4 pages written on one side. Totally illegible. I blew them up and now can be read but still can’t understand how to use it. Just a bunch of words with little actual meaning. Decided to just try it out and see what it does. Could not figure it out. But I bought it as a slow cooker for overnight oats. And that’s the one thing it actually does NOT do on any setting
