We use this cooktop in our cabin. We bought it to replace a different one that was starting to mess up. I wasn’t expecting anything great at the price point but I wasn’t really wanting to spend that much. This cooktop, so far, has definitely exceeded my expectations in the month I’ve had it. It’s a nice size, a little heavy to easily move around but the weight definitely makes it feel that it’s more sturdy than my old one. It looks nice. My pans don’t slide off like they did with my other. It does take a little bit to heat up but once it gets going it gets nice and hot. It heats very well and keeps a nice steady temperature. I’m very pleased so far. As long as it doesn’t break and as long as the company honors it’s warranty if it did break, it is definitely worth the money. Even heat distribution, light weight, wipes clean with soap and water... this unit fulfilled all of my expectations! The very 1st time I used it (following manufacturer's prep instructions) was for a jambalaya recipe that i make using a heavy ceramic-coated iron duch oven. This infrared hotplate made short work of heating it to temp and maintaining steady and even heat distribution. I was very surprised how well it works; not to mention the 18-month extended warranty offered should anything go wrong in the foreseeable future. I give it a 5-star rating ☆☆☆☆☆ ... show more

I have not had any problems with this hot plate. It heats up incredibly fast. Just be careful because it does stay hot for a bit after you are done with it.

The first use of the product it seemed to not get as hot as I needed to cook what I needed and took a while for things to heat and cook. After a few uses and letting it heat for a few minutes before I but the pot or pan on to cook it gets to where it needs to be and is an excellent product so far and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to make a meal without an actual stove! It is sleek in design and functional. It does what it's supposed to, with a modern and light weight style! If you need something to replace an actual stove top maybe no, but if you need to cook anything because what you have no longer works or just need an extra range I'd go with this! But it does take a little while to actually get pots and pans hot! ... show more
