Chair was easy to assemble and seems very sturdy. Within a week of purchasing we used the chair to get my husband lifted off the floor. The overall movement up and down goes at a slow pace so be prepared to not have a rapid change with either lowering or raising the chair height. From the initial getting the chair that was fully extended up to lowering to floor level and then getting it under him and starting to raise the seat took maybe 3 minutes - much quicker than a call to an EMS, family or friend to assist. I do wish that it went just a few more inches higher as he is over 6' and it would just be easier for him. The hand control is easy to use and the chair remained stable the entire time despite not being fully in the seat (we did have the seat belt on him for safety) and folded the arms down into place.

I am an older above knee amputee, which as you can imagine, sometimes leads to falls. I used to have to crawl or scooch to somewhere that I could pull or push myself up from in these instances. I am a little on the larger side and my daughter is unable to get me up off of the floor. This item has been a God Send. It works great. The small front wheels do move better on hardwood or linoleum than carpet, so an improvement might be the larger size wheels all around. It is great though that you can wheel it and not have to really struggle with it. I feel comfortable and supported while in it. It is nice because if for some reason I want to get down on the floor, this also works quite well for lowering me too. Although in my estimation, it is a tad pricey for what it is, having it has proved invaluable. Great for those with mobility issues as well as their caregivers.

I think this will be a good tool if I can straighten the frame. didn't know it was bent til I was assembling it. fedex is rough on freight or maybe the factory should box it up better. I've worked with metal a lot, I'll fix it.
