We bought this fireplace primarily for the atmosphere it could create in our bedroom, not the heat. Our only place to mount it was above the tv, so it was especially important that the heater vent to the top, avoiding heat being blown down on the tv should we use the heat element. The cord, (see the last picture) is located in the top right corner of the unit. We didn’t want a cord dangling, so we opted to put in a dedicated outlet. Had we not planned to have a new outlet installed, the cord would not have reached the existing outlet on that wall. The option of three different flame colors is nice. You can also adjust the brightness of the flame. Each click of the timer button programs the unit the run for 30 minutes before automatically shutting off the unit. I think the maximum time is 7 hours, but don’t hold me to that fact. I’ve never tried to run it that long. ... show more

Please take note, this fireplace releases heat at the top not bottom. For this reason we can't use the heating portion. We had the fireplace closed off and have our tv above the fireplace so heat coming from the top is bad for the tv. Sure wish we knew before we had it cut out and installed. Luckly we're in Florida so hoping we won't really need the heating portion. ... show more

My family really enjoys this fireplace. It arrived in secure packaging and was very easy to install - my teenage daughter and I did it in about 20 minutes. Comes with a remote control and is very easy to use. There are three flame color settings - orange, blue and orange and blue together. There are two different heat settings and a delay timer for automatic shut off. You can also adjust the height of the flames. Even when the heater is on the unit is not loud. We have this in the family room in our basement and it makes a soft noise that is easily drowned out by the TV. If this were in a bedroom it would put off similar white noise to a fan. The glass 'crystals' that are included are actually plastic but look great. The front of the unit is flat like a flat screen TV which I love. We are very pleased with this fireplace and I highly recommend it. ... show more

Looks perfect under our 70 inch tv. I had to disconnect the heater in order to safely flush mount it, but other than that so far pretty happy about it.

I just received the fireplace today and it's missing the remote the rocks and it also does not have the mount. But I tested and it looks nice and is the right size for my 65 tv. I wish I could just get the parts so I don't have to return.

I put this in one of my private rooms In my business. The other private room have lights. Everyone prefers to go to the one with this fireplace. I get soo many compliments. Thinking of just purchasing another one. Great product!!

It came with two dents on it,n the remote was shattered when I open the package,the product still works tho I didn't even want to go through the hassle of trying to send the whole product back because of that,I just hope it last some years without going out on me,also (NOTE) it blows heat thru the top of the fire place..I didn't read that part before ordering.would have never ordered it if i knew so now I can't put it under my TV. ... show more
