I recently bought this 3-in-1 windowless portable air conditioner, and it has honestly been a great addition for staying cool without the hassle of installation. Setup was simple and straightforward after quickly reviewing the installation video for the water tank assembly. Once it was ready to go, I liked how lightweight and portable it is—the wheels and built-in handle make it super easy to move from room to room. Cooling performance is impressive for an evaporative unit. It works especially well in dry heat, and adding the ice boxes really boosts the cooling effect. The 3 modes (Normal, Natural, Sleep) and 3 fan speeds give plenty of flexibility, and the 70° swing helps circulate air evenly throughout the space. I also really appreciate the quiet operation and 12-hour timer. It runs smoothly in the background without being distracting, making it perfect for sleeping, working, or relaxing. Cools just fine but constantly leaks water out the bottom no matter what I do. This is not a good product at all. Do not buy this trash. I had it on a flat surface just like the manual said. I'll now have to purchase a better version from someone else.

    • Sleep mode is anything but
This one had a lot going for it — compact footprint, a large tank that doesn't need constant refilling, three fan speeds, and an auto-oscillation feature. Noise on the standard settings is noticeable but tolerable for daytime use. The dealbreaker was the Natural and Sleep modes. Both cycle the motor from completely off to full speed and back, which means the noise swings from silent to loud on a loop. For Sleep mode especially, that's the opposite of what you want. I could find no meaningful difference between Natural and Sleep — both behaved identically. Because of this I returned it. If this doesn't bother you then it's a great deal. ... show more

We have 4 fans (because our AC is broken) and this is the best, it does transfer cool air and wind is strong. The night time only have this one and the fan in the ceilings on are enough. It looks neat too and it doesn’t take too much space. We love it!

    • Cools down nicely
I have been running it for a few hours today and waited to make sure how it was doing before I submitted a review. It is 93° outside and my bedroom is 79°. I think that the unit is doing really well. I took a star off because the instructions stink. When I first tried it out with water, it was leaking when I used the cool function. I discovered that there was a drainage hose tucked into the bottom of the unit, but the instructions didn't show or say that there was a drainage hose that needed to be pulled down. Luckily I tested it in my kitchen. Now that the drainage hose is properly pulled down so the water can flow back into the bottom reservoir it doesn't leak. I love that this unit can be filled from the top reservoir, it makes it so much easier for me. Even though it comes with 6 water bottles, I purchased another 6 pack so I can always have frozen ones to exchange out. It doesn't get extremely hot in NW Oregon so I don't need or want an air conditioner. I used to just use frozen water bottles set in front of a fan on the few days that I needed to cool down, but a swamp cooler is much better. The company just needs to rewrite their instructions so it tells you how to set up the unit, including pulling down the drainage hose. ... show more
