Let me start by saying I don’t often leave reviews. But I feel compelled to share my experience so far with this e-bike purchase. Starting with a visit with friends out of state is how I first had a chance to ride this e-bike which I thoroughly enjoyed. They said they owned a pair of these for about two years with virtually no issues. When I returned home I didn’t hesitate to purchase a pair of these e-bikes for our family through Amazon. Well let me say right off.. what an impressive build quality at this price point ! Timely delivery and an excellent customer service experience. I didn’t get a chance to assemble these e-bikes (very easy to assemble) until weeks after delivery only to discover one of the bikes LCD control display was damaged straight out of the box. Quite surprised because the packaging was quite good, solid in fact. So I contacted seller/ company customer service through Amazon’s messaging and received a timely response and resolution for this issue. Easy communication. Customer service spot on ! Replacement part sitting on my doorstep within days. Highly recommended. Good quality comfort ride power at an reasonable price point. Longevity yet to be determined… whole family thoroughly enjoying, so they are being put through their paces.

This is not my first ebike from this manufacturer. The fact that I bought the same exact bike 2 years later should tell you that it's an excellent product. Pretty much bulletproof. But, as it's the second one, I did insist on some upgrades right out of the box that I would FIRMLY recommend. Let's talk about it. BUY PLENTY OF FULLY METALLIC BRAKE PADS. AS IN 6 PAIRS. It's just as important if not more so, to be able to stop as it is to be able to ride. THORN RESISTANT INNER TUBES. Keep the stocks as emergency spares. Same goes for the tires. REPLACE THE STOCK TIRES WITH SCHWALBE TIRES. Just trust me, keep the stocks as spares, they're not terrible. BIG COMFORTABLE SADDLE. Don't skimp on the saddle, the stock one is ok but it's about comfort so you can ride longer and further. STEM RISER NECESSARY. The stock stem is very short. Very short. And last but not least at all, HIGH GRADE FIREARM LUBRICANT FOR THE BEARINGS AND MOVING PARTS. You'll get thousands more miles by adding a professional grade metal conditioner. That being said, you will end up with one of the most formidable, long lasting, quality made and reliable ebikes around. Here's what I have been through with my first T-276: ran it into a FedEx truck at medium speed; had a head-on collision with another bike at full speed; hit a sidewalk curb at full speed and broke my humerus in 3 places; and got hit standing still by another ebikes doing around 16 mph (that broke my headlight). And to this day, that original bike is running flawlessly with over 3000 miles on it, has gone through 2 sets of tires, and the only thing keeping it from being in perfect shape is a very slight and imperceptible warp to the front tire from hitting that curb. Otherwise, no worse for wear, literally. Oh, I did have to replace the charger but no biggie. I just wanted a new one. I remember searching Amazon trying to find an ebikes that would not be a lemon or a toy. How would I know where to start? It's exhausting. Take my advice and make the small upgrades, and rest assured that you made the best decision: these bikes are golden.

This is the third review I have written for this product. Amazon pulled down the first two. The first bike we bought had an unexpected brake failure because it was not calibrated tight before sending it to us. My second Totgard was defective out of the box. It broke within ten miles. The freewheel mechanism broke while I was riding it in traffic. I tried to send it back for an even exchange or repair. I refused to cover return shipping on a defective product. I wanted the seller to do that. I will not name them here. Someone cancelled my refund request. A loved one got hurt twice riding one of these bikes. It required hospitalization. Amazon hung up on me when I called them. They need to do load stress tests and treadmill the bikes before sending them to riders. When mine broke I was in traffic. The bearings started falling out of the rear wheel hub and I could hear grinding. Then I couldn't pedal anymore. I've been trying to get them to remedy this. I had to pay for a Uhaul and Uber to go to and from the shop twice for drop-off and pickup. Repair cost was over $100. Transport cost more than that. Amazon hung up on me when my call was escalated to a safety specialist. They promised to take care of it and refund our costs. That hasn't happened. I am contacting an attorney who specializes in these situations. Please buy a different product. This is a real customer review. The seller would not work with me. Amazon hung up on me twice and would not pay to compensate me for repairs or medical costs associated with injuries for my son. I had to file an A to Z claim and my repair cost for the new product that was defective remains unpaid. Amazon completely failed my family and I here as consumers. I questioned if there were quality and safety checks. They could not or would not answer. Furthermore, Amazon has disabled my ability to leave reviews for defective bike products on this platform. I will be leaving them in YouTube and others to warn people about my experience and Amazon's failure to remedy my safety concerns and make us whole as customers. I own two totgard bikes and they are regularly checked, inspected, and repaired. Why wasn't this done coming off the assembly line? I blame the seller and factory. A product is only as good as those assembling it in it's assembly, quality, ans safe checks. Just FYI, if you remove or bar any of my reviews going forward my lawyer will be contacting you for infringing on my Constitutional Rights along with other legal concerns seeking financial damages. We have had multiple switches fail on this bike. The kickstand broke on two Totguards multiple times. The throttle controller on the handbags when out. The battery on/off switch went out in both bikes within 500 miles. I have two totguard ebikes and both broke the same week. One has less than 600 miles on it. The other has 1100. It is constant problems. Do not buy this bike. It is a repair headache. Getting rid of both of ours soon. It was a huge waste of money because they break frequently with only road use for local trips to the store. There is no support for this product. I reached out to the seller and they went in vacation. Amazon will not provide A to Z assistance for this product.
