Update: After ordering another brand because I thought this jug was too big, I have learned to appreciate the quality of this jug. The foam piece remains in perfect condition as of December. --- This water jug is excellent quality except for the rubber/foam on the handle. When the jug is full, it is very heavy and the weight puts stress on the foam when being lifted. I try to reduce the stress as much as possible but I fear it won't last long. I am considering wrapping the foam with tape or placing pipe over foam. The jug is so heavy when full, it is difficult to lift and tip to drink from the top. Also, if less than full, the ice will shift weight when the bottom is tilted and rush to the top. This can cause the lid to smack into your lips and teeth with significant impact if your not prepared. I'm a 57 year old man and it takes a good deal of my strength to handle the jug when it's full (or over half full). Several of my friends and family were shocked by the weight and difficulty of use when 75% full. Some could not lift and tip it. I placed crushed ice(full) in the jug and placed it in the freezer overnight. The next morning I put two large cold Powerades in the jug. This filled the jug to the top. In 90 degree shade, there was still a decent small amount of ice after 32 hours. Much more than I expected. My second refill was exactly as the first except I didn't freeze it overnight. It was still cold from the ice retention. At 24 hours, in 90plus degree shade, the last amount contained ice. The Powerade was still very cold. I used the jug frequently throughout the 4th of July day and night. Although the cold retention is excellent, I've ordered another jug, 64oz with a built-in straw, because this jug is just too heavy for me as a primary drink container. I will use it as a secondary to refill. It doesn't leak when tipped but time will tell and I will update. If you hit the brakes, this jug will go flying with significant impact and can cause damage or injury. These negatives are not faults in the jug but reflect the nature of this huge beast (except for the foam handle). Overall great quality. 5 stars.

Love this gallon and the color is absolutely gorgeous š. The handle is very sturdy, the opening is great when refilling ice by a large cup, since it cannot fit underneath the ice dispenser at my work. I usually fill it up half of it with ice and rest with water and it last a day, more or so over a day. I use this mainly for work since I have a 32oz similar and that is my everyday use at home or errand run. I even use this gallon to refill my carryon bottle and it's great that it stays cold and ice remains as well. The mouthpiece is good size. It's easily to pour in and pour out, if you use a cup and don't want to keep opening and closing the mouthpiece. Whatever is your preference. Worth buying and I love how it came with a silicone bumper bottom for it. The main reason I bought this, I always finish my 32oz bottle and its like 3 hours in and I'm out and it's sorta difficult to refill my bottle with my job. With the gallon purchase, I'm content and satisfied to know I still have access to an icy cold drink at work. Hope this helps, I say buy it and the price I paid for is worth it. Oh its very easy to clean!!

Iāve been using it for a week or so now and have been experimenting with it to see how good it holds up. So far Iāve left my jug in my truck with all windows up all day while sun heated it the whole inside of my truck up. Iāve been drinking it throughout the day and stays cold/ holds ice for at least a day (8-10 hours). I drink the whole gallon by the end of the day so canāt really tell if the ice will hold by the next day.. but so far. But to be honest if you slap a yeti sticker on you have the same quality lolā¦ itās a great deal and comes with 3 stainless steel cups , a removable straw and a bottom silicone protector and for grip that youād have to buy for yeti. Youre just buying the brand name for yeti.. get you this jug and save money šš½š°

I have an RTIC one gallon as well, these are the reasons I carry this one when I only need one gallon of water: 1) the opening at the top is larger, makes it easier to load ice and clean. 2) the ādrinking spoutā is larger and closer to the side of the bottle. I NEVER drink from my gallon bottles, but use them to fill my Bubba Mugs. This larger opening closer to edge pours twice as fast as the RTIC bottle. 3) the lid is really thick making it far more insulated than the RTIC. The RTICās lid sweats when it is humid out, this bottleās lid does not indicating itās cold isnāt as exposed. 4) I like the broader handle and itās thicker with no foam cover that will go bad like the RTIC. 5) This bottle comes with a rubber bottom surface cover, protects the bottle and whatever you sit the bottle on. The RTIC does not include one. 6) came with a nice insulated cup that Iāll probably never use, but itāll make a nice stocking stuffer for someone at Christmas. So far I havenāt noticed a measurable difference between the bottles as far as cold or ice retention, but they do seem similar enough without a scientific controlled test. If youāre on the fence, definitely buy this one.

Wish it kept my water colder longer... lasts about 24 hours at most. Despite this not keeping kybwayer as cold as long as I want it to I still find this s very useful design. PROS: rasy to fill with ice even large chunks. Handle is comfortable to hold and carry. Short height makes it easy and light to carry even ehen filled. CONS: because it is so wide and a bit slippery material to hold when trying to tighten it is awkward to open snd close ehen tightly sealed / closed. No rubber bottom so you're putting metal down on wherever you set it... but my photo shows how I fixed that by adding my own 3M stick on felt. This keeps the jug from scratching things I put it down on and adds some cushion. This jug would hugely benefit from having a rubbuer grip ring to grab onto when opening and closing the lid. The 64 ounce size is encouraging me to drink more water. Thats a good thing
