This is my 3rd purchase of the Sursip One Gallon Insulated Water Jug. If that doesn't say all you need to know let me give you more information. First, I fill it with ice, then fill it with water. I'm always thirsty and I usually end of refilling it with water at least once, usually twice per day. The ice last for AT LEAST 2 days, even with repeated refills of water. I have never had it leak no matter what position it gets accidentally left in through my travels. While it is admittedly a bit heavy, it's worth it in terms of quality, thermal retention (either hot or cold), and sturdiness. Unfortunately I have dropped it a few times, but besides a very slight dent, it's perfectly fine in every way. I do recommend a sleeve/cover (available from other sellers) to enhance it's ease of use, but other than that it's a perfect fit for my needs. Again, this is my 3rd purchase of this Sursip One Gallon insulated jug so that I always have one available while the other one is being washed. If you're serious about keeping hydrated, THIS is the water bottle you need. Large capacity, excellent temperature retention for either hot or cold, NO LEAKS, and comes in an array of colors. What isn't there to love about this? An excellent gift for exercise enthusiasts or people interested in staying hydrated in always cold (or hot if you like that sort of thing) liquid refreshments. Superb product, superb service, superb seller, of course because it's Sursip. This is one of the few products where if I could give it ten stars, I would without hesitation. A++++++++++

Update: After ordering another brand because I thought this jug was too big, I have learned to appreciate the quality of this jug. The foam piece remains in perfect condition as of December. --- This water jug is excellent quality except for the rubber/foam on the handle. When the jug is full, it is very heavy and the weight puts stress on the foam when being lifted. I try to reduce the stress as much as possible but I fear it won't last long. I am considering wrapping the foam with tape or placing pipe over foam. The jug is so heavy when full, it is difficult to lift and tip to drink from the top. Also, if less than full, the ice will shift weight when the bottom is tilted and rush to the top. This can cause the lid to smack into your lips and teeth with significant impact if your not prepared. I'm a 57 year old man and it takes a good deal of my strength to handle the jug when it's full (or over half full). Several of my friends and family were shocked by the weight and difficulty of use when 75% full. Some could not lift and tip it. I placed crushed ice(full) in the jug and placed it in the freezer overnight. The next morning I put two large cold Powerades in the jug. This filled the jug to the top. In 90 degree shade, there was still a decent small amount of ice after 32 hours. Much more than I expected. My second refill was exactly as the first except I didn't freeze it overnight. It was still cold from the ice retention. At 24 hours, in 90plus degree shade, the last amount contained ice. The Powerade was still very cold. I used the jug frequently throughout the 4th of July day and night. Although the cold retention is excellent, I've ordered another jug, 64oz with a built-in straw, because this jug is just too heavy for me as a primary drink container. I will use it as a secondary to refill. It doesn't leak when tipped but time will tell and I will update. If you hit the brakes, this jug will go flying with significant impact and can cause damage or injury. These negatives are not faults in the jug but reflect the nature of this huge beast (except for the foam handle). Overall great quality. 5 stars.

This product is exactly what i was looking for. I wanted a product in which i could carry my energy drinks or soft drinks. It keeps the temp cold for a full day.. I've had the same ice cubes for over 24hrs. I almost bought a yeti but I'm glad i didnt. I saved myself 70 dollars.

I have used these for about a month. I love them. The only downside I can see is that it’s hard to drink out of the big one since there is no hold for side flow. But other than that it holds a gallon and it is so sturdy and great! The cup that comes with is is great and I am so very thankful that they sent a cleaning brush with it to clean the straw! They have really thought of everything. The pros of the cup is that it is easy to drink out of. And easy to use the straw or just the lid. The downside is that if the seal is off a bit it will leak and be careful when you add hot drinks to the cup cuz the straw is metal so the straw gets hot. And if you choose to not use the straw the only other issue is that you need to pop the straw hole open and hold the drink lid flap. It doesn’t stay open because of the position of the pull tab on the cup. Other than that this is a great product and would definitely recommend!

Overall this water jug is great, I live in the desert in Arizona with temps at 118-123 in the average in the summer, that being said the jug filled with water and ice is still cold on third day and it’s drinkable up thru day 5, that’s pretty good considering. I like the gallon size because it is plenty of water for a day. The jug itself is a little heavy and bulky, but it’s a gallon. Like wise it’s hard to drink straight from it, when it’s half full or more, but it’s a gallon. The cap itself is easy to drink from, the lid screws on tight and so does the cap, but it’s a little tricky to get it started, you have to use a little elbow grease. Oh one more thing about the kid, my rivet on the one side of the handle came off, might have been a defect, no big deal for me, I just tapped the plastic and threw a big flush head bolt in it. The strap on the carry case is too thin for the weight of the jug. But over all, satisfied. I’d buy another one, one with out the carry case unless they offer a different one next time.

I’ve been using it for a week or so now and have been experimenting with it to see how good it holds up. So far I’ve left my jug in my truck with all windows up all day while sun heated it the whole inside of my truck up. I’ve been drinking it throughout the day and stays cold/ holds ice for at least a day (8-10 hours). I drink the whole gallon by the end of the day so can’t really tell if the ice will hold by the next day.. but so far. But to be honest if you slap a yeti sticker on you have the same quality lol… it’s a great deal and comes with 3 stainless steel cups , a removable straw and a bottom silicone protector and for grip that you’d have to buy for yeti. Youre just buying the brand name for yeti.. get you this jug and save money 👍🏽💰

This jug keeps ice for two days The gallon size is convenient for a day to two days My old one was five years old it started leaking through the plastic lid and once in a while the lid would come off. It rides in the back of a 6 wheeler and gets constantly beat around by rolls of wire and fence posts. Ittaken a beating I highly recommend it

Very good quality. I got this for making oak moss dye in because I wanted something unbreakable and it is great. Usually this type of dye is made in glass but I was too paranoid about something happening and it getting broken. I love how big it is and affordable for such a big container.
