  • Great entry-level e-bike at a competitive price Great entry-level e-bike at a competitive price
Color: Victor 3.0-White
This product arrived well packaged with no discernable damage to the outer box. After unpacking all of the parts and upon a thorough inspection, I've found none of them had any structural damage or paint scratches. However, both paddles' plastic outer layer was covered by some sort of sticky substance. I'm not sure if it was polymer degradation residue or some kind of intentional layer applied in the factory meant to protect them. Regardless, I readily cleaned it off using some 70% isopropyl alcohol and then proceeded to assemble the bike. The assembly instructions found in the included manual were not written using perfect English grammar and syntax and do contain some errors. That said, the included pictures and just common sense still made the assembly process a breeze. Also, you can always search for "QNUT Victor e-bike assembly" on YouTube for some online support. The battery came out fully depleted out of the box and took about 3–3.5 hours to fully charge. It does weigh quite a bit, but even after installing it I found the bike's weight to be fairly manageable and easily moved around. Once you turn on the battery, you can turn on the LCD screen. The screen's functions are very straight forward. It has 3 modes: SPEED (mph), which is the default option, TRIP (distance traveled in miles since the last time you turned on the battery), and ODO (total distance traveled in miles). Below the screen, there are 2 buttons, "+" and "-", which are used to switch between the "0"-"5" paddle-assist modes. "0" means the paddle-assist feature is off (i.e. manual paddling only), whereas the "1"-"5" levels will provide battery-powered motor assistance to accelerate the bike. All 5 modes have a safety feature where they don't kick in until the bike is moving at about 1 mph, which is definitely something that takes some getting used to. Also, all 5 modes provide the same level of motor power; the difference is in the cut-off point (i.e. the specific mph speed at which the motor will turn off until you slow down or switch to a higher paddle-assist mode). From my experience the cut-off points are: "1" - 10.4 mph, "2" - 12.7 mph, "3" - 15.3 mph, "4" - 18.6 mph, "5" - 20.3 mph. Finally, once the bike is moving at a speed of about 1 mph or higher, you can choose to go fully automatic by twisting the throttle grip (located on the right side of the handlebar). This allows the user to "kickback" and enjoy the view as the e-bike accelerate all the way to the max speed of approximately 20.3 mph. Just keep in mind that this will deplete the battery faster and also make changing gears a bit trickier depending on when exactly the user decides to go back to paddling. Speaking of the gears, the bike features a 21-speed gear system. It consists of 3 chainrings, located in between the paddles, and a 7-sprockets cassette, located right next to the rear hub. The chainrings and the cassette each have its own derailleur that is control by a shifter located in the handlebar. The 3 levels chainrings shifter is located near the left handle, and the 7 levels cassette sprockets shifter is located on the right side of the handlebar. From my experience, I recommend shifting gears in the following way: For starting the bike from full stop and climbing hills: keep the left lever at "1" and shift the right lever from "!" to "2" and then finally to "3" For medium speed and or flat surfaces: keep the left lever at "2" and shift the right lever from "3" to "4" and then finally to "5" For going down hill and riding with the wind: keep the left lever at "3" and shift the right lever from "5" to "6" and then finally to "7" There's definitely a learning curve here and this requires quite a bit of experimentation, especially for those who've never ridden a geared bike before, let alone a dual-shifter, high gear bike. I'd strongly recommend becoming proficient in the usage of the various gears before engaging the paddle-assist modes. Also, you should test the dual-disk break system, which is quite robust and handles very well from my experience, to get a feel for how quickly you can bring the bike to a full stop. This is especially true for when you start using the paddle-assist modes, because that system can send flying really fast if you're nor ready for it. You'll have plenty of time to master the gear and paddle-assist systems, though, thanks to the surprisingly hefty battery capacity. I didn't test the advertised 20–40 miles range very precisely, but it definitely sounds about right. I used it mostly in the park near my house for about 2–3 hours a day, every day over the weekend and to do some light shopping at the local grocery store and I still had plenty of battery juice left at the end of each day. Finally, I'll mention a few worthwhile tidbits regarding this electric bike. First, according to the technical details found on the Amazon website's product page, the seat height range is designed to accommodate a rider height of 4'8"–5'9" (on the product page at www.qnutbike.com it says 5'1"–6'2"). However, I found that the length of the rider's legs is a more important factor that will affect the user's compatibility with the bike. I'm around 5'85", but my legs' length (from feet to crotch) is approximately 30". Consequently, I need to lower the seat all the way down to be able to stand comfortably while mounting the bike at a complete stop. Second, the bike fork does offer some suspension, but nothing to write home about. It does a decent job, though I found it to be a bit rough. Furthermore, the bike seat has good enough padding to absorb a moderate amount of impact from street bumps, but I wouldn't go jumping off ramps with it. This IS an entry-level bike, after all. Third, The bike's frame has a few points on it that are prepped for additional accessories like a water bottle holder, front and rear lights, and maybe even a small basket. All in all, this bike has a very robust structure and seems to have been designed and constructed diligently. I'm very happy with my purchase and would absolutely recommend it to friends and family members who are seriously considering taking their first dip into the world of electric bikes. ... show more

  • For the Price, This Bike can’t be beat For the Price, This Bike can’t be beat
Color: Victor 3.0-Black
First off, I love when you order something online and have that few days of anticipation. It’s the closest thing to what Christmas felt like as a kid. To pull in from a rough day at work and see that Christmas come early? 🙌🏼 A full 3 days earlier than the estimated 7 day ship time. Packaged very well, with clear and easy to follow instructions. I was ready to roll in less than 30 minutes after I cut the first strap. The bike is actually really really good looking. Derek Zoolander would approve. Those are not decals in the photos. That is the actual paint job. Another aspect that blew me away was the quality of the parts. I also have a $600 Ebike, which out of the box needed lots of tuning and adjustments. After some light assembly, the Qnut bike shifts and brakes perfectly. The drive train and gear shifting parts, including the chain and brakes, look like they are off a much nicer bike. The wheels run true and everything that is supposed to be lubricated, was. They took great care with it before this bike left the warehouse. Makes me feel like other manufacturers/sellers are really jacking up their products prices, or this company has an in with their parts supplier. The motor will only kick in after you are rolling a bit. Which is great. I don’t know how many times I have forgotten to turn off my other bike and accidentally bumped the throttle or kicked a pedal - resulting in the bike lunging away from me like a dog after the neighbors cat. The display is nice and bright and easy to figure out. The motor is quieter than my more expensive bike, and has more torque it feels like. Having got this bike on sale, only magnified its value. For the price of a regular bike you would get from Walmart, you can upgrade to this sleek bad boy. If you are just getting started with E-bikes are looking for it as a gift: you can stop your research here. The only way to really know if it is for you is to dive in and get one. Speaking from experience. In all my research and comparisons, I couldn’t recommend a better launching point than this bike. For the price point, I couldn’t recommend it enough. When you decide to invest more or upgrade, keep this bike so you have a buddy to share the trails with. Thats my plan. I have a feeling It will last longer than my other bike anyways. Happy trails. ... show more

  • Amazing E-Bike – Great Power, Smooth Ride, and Excellent Value!
Color: Victor 4.0-Black
I am extremely happy with this electric bike! The red color looks even better in person—stylish, sleek, and eye-catching. The 350W motor has plenty of power, and it easily gets me up to around 20 mph with no struggle. I use it both for commuting and weekend rides, and it has been incredibly reliable. The 21-speed gearing makes it versatile for hills, flat roads, and longer distances. With pedal assist, I’m getting close to the advertised 40-mile range, which is more than enough for my daily needs. The dual disc brakes are strong and responsive, giving me confidence when riding in traffic. The bike feels solid and well-built, and the fact that it’s UL 2849 tested gives extra peace of mind. Assembly was straightforward, and everything worked right out of the box. Overall, this is an excellent e-bike for adults and teens, great for commuting or casual riding. For the price, the quality is unbeatable. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Charge fades quickly
Color: Victor 3.0-White
The bike was very easy for my 12 year old son to assemble and quickly. The battery charges fairly quick just wish it lasted longer. It seems to go through it's charge quicker than we would like. It goes up to 30 mph. The front tire does not screw on. It latches on which is cool but also a little dangerous. All in all a pretty good bike for a first electric bike. ... show more

  • Best bike for your money
Color: Victor 3.0-White
I ordered 2 of these bike. They arrive pretty quick. Assembly is pretty straightforward. They provided all the tools you need. The bike is mostly put together just a few pieces you need to add on. I had an issue with one of the bikes, but customer service is next level they was able to resolve my issue quickly and now both my bikes are fantastic. They are perfect cruising bike since they have a throttle. They are also a perfect bike if you want to get exercise since they also offer pedal assist. Battery seems to last quite a bit. Haven’t drained it yet on our bike rides. Wish they had some lights for night time riding but found some on Amazon. Seems to be a good sized bike 1 rider is 5’4 and the other is 5’10. • Impressive E-Bike , Awesome Value Impressive E-Bike , Awesome Value
Color: Victor 3.0-Black
I like the look of this bike; it looks like a traditional styled multi speed unit. It has multiple modes for riding; you can just pedal like a normal bicycle, you can use the electric motor to assist you from five varying speeds, or you can use just the electric motor. It was simple to put together with only a few steps. One tip that you might consider is to leave the handlebar bolts loose until you get through with assembly and then tighten them down to make sure they are on straight. The bike is a blast to ride. I was able to go almost twenty miles on a full charge of the battery and I was using mostly all electric motor power. My bike had a top speed of 21.3 mph on a flat road. I am impressed with the life of the battery. The bike takes roughly three hours to fully charge from a dead state. I rode the bike on pavement, concrete pavers, grass, sand, and clay and the bike rode well on every surface. The bike handled small inclines with ease and steeper inclines with pedaling included. The only negative is that one bumpy roads the ride is a bit rough. Also, the seat is quite firm but it is comfortable. I would recommend this bike to anyone. It is a great value! ... show more

  • No springlock for front wheel or seat clamp came with mine...(read full review for further info)
Color: Victor 4.0-Black
Rating this 5 out of 5 so it's hopefully in the top of current reviews. My true rating at the moment is a solid 3.8 for two reasons. 1. I didn't come with a seat clamp and 2. My spring lock for the front wheel was missing. Luckily, I have spare E bike sitting around (that was replaced by this one) that uses the same two systems. This would not be the case for many other buyers though. I'm hoping that the seller reaches out or that my phone call with their customer support goes well tomorrow morning. I will update this after either or both interactions happen. Anyways, here are the Pros: -Easy assembly. -Motor goes up to 21 mph (most likely will go to 22 if I actually fully charge the batter, again will update in a few days). -Motor is instantly reponsive. The controller may look cheap, but a lot of other higher end brands have a lag from throttle or pedal to the motor. This was not the case with this bike which was a nice suprise. -The bike in general looks very sleek. -Going downhill around 30mph feels extremely stable and safe. I will do my usual "nose dive" on this coming Friday when I go downhill at 50mph. - Battery performance will be updated here within a week. -Tires have a nice grip to them, never felt like I was gonna wipeout or start drifting. Although, you can buy much nicer tires for the same yet better effect. -The brakes and pads are just run of the mill, nothing special, but they do the job. -The gear shifting isn't horrible for whatever offbrand parts that were used. It's rather smooth. All and all not a bad bike for the price. Just remember, you get what you paid for. The longevity of this bike is still in question. I will return to the review in a few months regarding this topic. ... show more

  • Great bike for anyone!
Color: Victor 3.0-White
I had been looking for an electric bike and my first impression was that I liked the way it looked. I am 72 and not an off-road, or racer type of guy. I use a bike for all my small errands and getting from point A to point B. I go up and down on the curbs so I need something sturdy. There are a lot of these types of bikes so I was looking for a simple assembly and operation. With 21 speeds that’s a lot of options when riding, kind of nice to switch them around a bit. I can get lazy and switch to electric so, keep this in mind if you are looking for exercise. The bike is simple to operate and the lcd display provides the assistance for five levels. It was packaged extremely secure with all the parts clearly identified. It was mostly assembled, tools included. Attach the handlebars, seat, pedals, front wheel, kickstand (that I rarely use) and off you go. In the box it can be heavy. It’s a great ride even without the battery charged. I haven’t tried it out at top speed as I am cautious living in the city with a lot of traffic. Easily switch between electric and manual. Can go about 20 miles on a full charge. I have no storage where I live so removing the front wheel is easy and I can hang on a wall. It’s quiet, and rides smooth with the proper adjustments of the seat and shocks. Braking is great! I love the disc brakes. Never had a bike with discs. I like that the seat is a little firmer than what I have on my non-electric bike. All the other reviewers have photos posted so I don’t see any need to repeat the same photos. It’s a GREAT BIKE for the money. ... show more
