Use a penny or bobbypin for the remote control battery cover
Set name: 10,000 BTU
As someone with a bad back and hands, I was so relieved at how easy this Electactic 10,000 BTU window air conditioner was to install. No drilling or screwing into the window frame required — a massive bonus for anyone worried about that! It’s surprisingly lightweight for a window unit, so I could actually carry it into the house myself without too much struggle. I cannot get over how well it cools the room! I woke up chattering my teeth one night at 66°F (19°C) while it was 88°F (31°C) outside. It keeps the room nice and cold even on the economy setting. The remote is one of the better ones I’ve used on a window unit — responsive and no need to wave your arm around to find the sweet spot. It’s not an eyesore either and runs quietly enough that I can finally hear my Joe Bob Briggs episodes properly from the bed, instead of having to sit right at the foot of it like with my old unit. Best of all, having this in the bedroom plus the other unit in the family room has made the whole house feel noticeably cooler and more comfortable. I’m 10/10 happy with this purchase. If you need reliable cooling for a medium-sized room (up to about 450 sq ft / 42 m²) without the hassle and expense of a full central system, this one is excellent value and performs brilliantly. Highly recommend! ❄️ ... show more

Electactic window Air conditioner 10000 BTU
Set name: 10,000 BTU
I started out with the Garvee portable air conditioner with 5000/8000 BTU, and it wasn't blowing hard enough to keep a small room cool, had to place a box fan in front of the vents but still wasn't cold just cool,so then I decided to add more money and purchase this 10000 BTU Electactic window Air conditioner, and I'm so happy that I did, I now go to sleep cold and wake up cold, the air conditioner blows far and powerful I keep it on eco mode at 71 degrees and it's feels so refreshing and cleans the air, when I first bought it I kept it at 61 degrees and it runs continuous cold air! So happy with my decision and purchase! Also I have an eyeglasses kit I bought from Amazon it included a small enough screw driver to remove the screw from the remote control to add batteries! ... show more

Worth the price
Set name: 10,000 BTU
Our bedroom air conditioner doesn't reach our living room, so it's been at a constant 89° for the past month. Finally caved and bought another air conditioner, and this one is better than the other thankfully. We we're skeptical cause it arrived damaged in the back (it looks like someone kneed it in one spot and has scratch marks all over in the back) but it works perfectly fine. The remote is nice but it sucks that you have to unscrew it first cause it requires a super small screwdriver. It chilled our room from that 89° to 60° (by choice) in less than 2 hours. Most reviews say it's noisy, but it isnt like a horrid noise. Just sounds like heavy wind, or rain outside. Gonna make sure I save this incase our bedroom one breaks. ... show more

Did it's job all summer.
Set name: 5,000 BTU
Easy to install, but I needed someone outside to hold and help position it in window at far end of kitchen. Kept it running virtually the entire summer on low power, medium cool. Kept the kitchen and dining room cool enough and boosted with fan into living room. Might be a little too cool for a small bedroom. I can't say it was quiet. For me, it worked as a kitchen cooler. You need a plan for how to fill up the window gaps. The plastic expandable screens would not stop a burglar or an aggressive racoon. I will have to uninstall it for winter. Happy with it overall for the price. ... show more

Great, cooling AC
Set name: 10,000 BTU
I’m so pleased with this ac, it was easy to install. Wasn’t too heavy and has been cooling the living great. We needed an ac for the living room so my dogs can be cooled while I’m working and this is doing just that. It’s not too loud either it just sounds like a wind blowing rather than a loud machine. It’s a great affordable and easy to install window ac. I did just have to buy window panels because our windows slides from the rather than from the top how this unit it build for but even then the install was wash and only took about an hour or less. ... show more

Not as quiet
Set name: 8,000 BTU
The unit works but, it is not as quiet as advertised. i have the unit mounted in the wall of an interior shop office on a manufacturing floor. With the unit off, background was 58 db, with the unit on and the compressor running it was 72 db. It is definitely noticeable and reminds me of the hotel room A/C units. ... show more

A great window Air conditioner.
Set name: 5000
Very nice unit. My grand son had no issues with installing the unit. It's cooler than I expected and my dwelling is being cooled completely. It has a nostalgia old school look. I was happy to know that it arrived one day early and had the Xtra screws n other items needed.noise level isn't a problem. Energy efficient. Once again amazon warehouse comes through. Price very affordable. It even has a reusable filter. And it has a accommodate return option if isn't what the customer expected. It's a win win if anything changes I will update on this review. ... show more
