The narrow area provided for light to shine out prevents most of the light from being able to light up a bigger area. I had to modify my lights so they can really illuminate a larger area. If you just want lights to indicate where your posts are, these are fine.

These post like to have a nice warm white glow. There’s an LED in cased underneath the solar panel that shines down and hits a reflective surface so it has the appearance of having a large well lit bulb. The base has nested adapters so that it can really fit on any deck post or fence post whether it’s wood or vinyl. these are really super simple to assemble and fix to the deck posts.
