Pros: The biggest advantage is how simple and effective it is. It’s basically a large syringe-style pump, but it creates solid suction and makes extracting oil, coolant, or even fuel from tight spaces quick and relatively mess-free. Many users report it’s “easy to operate” and works especially well for smaller reservoirs, which matches my experience. The compact size is another plus. It’s easy to store in a toolbox and doesn’t require power, so you can use it anywhere. It’s also surprisingly versatile—I’ve used it for everything from a generator oil change to pulling fluid out of awkward spots where a drain plug isn’t accessible. Cleanup is straightforward too. The unit comes apart easily, and flushing it out with warm water or solvent takes just a few minutes. Cons: The hoses are probably the weakest part of the setup. They work, but they could be longer and feel a bit flimsy. Some users have reported issues with durability or connections loosening over time, so you may want to handle them carefully or consider upgrading the tubing if you use it frequently. Used this several times to replace generator, snowblower and lawn mower engine oil. Does a good job as long as you can find the lowest point in the engine. Tube is long and flexible.

I have used this about three already to four times. It really made the job easier it suction it kept the fluid in there. It saved me from a lot of mess. I cleaned it out reuse it three other times with every penny it comes with extra seals. The material seems very good for the price you cannot beat it.

I have had this pump since 2024 and have used it a few times to extract fluid from power steering, brake reservoirs, transmissions, etc., and it worked fine. Today I was using it to add fluid to my transmission after draining and changing the filter. It worked well for a while then started to leak where the hose connects to the body of the pump. It would no longer suck fluid from the gallon jug very well either since it was sucking air along with the fluid. I tried everything to get it tightened/sealed, but in the end could not and it just made a mess. The connection is just a very poor design and once it starts to leak there is really no easy way to fix it. I was going to keep messing with it, but decided to just buy a better model. Sadly it looks like every other pump this size and shape uses the same press type hose connection and based on other reviews, just don't last. What they need is a copper compression ring connection that can be tightened and made to grip the hose solidly. In the end, if you have a project or two and need an inexpensive extraction/fill pump, this one will work fine. But if you want one that will last a long time, this is not it.

I did the transmission and diff fluid on my 16’ Subaru STI and I did the tcase on my 05’ Tahoe Z71. To me, it seemed much quicker than using a bottle pump. Easy to clean and use. Keep in mind that the thicker the fluid, the more difficult it’ll be to pump it through.
