Description

If your dog has had fleas, there’s a chance they have tapeworms too. Tapeworm segments are easily seen around your pet’s anal region or in their poop, similar to grains of white rice. It’s not always obvious, though, that your dog has tapeworms, so the best way to identify a problem is through an exam performed by a veterinarian. Use Bayer Tapeworm Dewormer for Dogs to treat your pet. Tapeworms can transmit to dogs when they inadvertently consume fleas, most commonly when they lick, chew or bite at their hair and skin to relieve itching. Dogs that hunt or chase rodents and rabbits are also at an increased risk for infection. Luckily, one treatment with the recommended tablet dose of Bayer Tapeworm Dewormer safely removes tapeworms. Review product packaging for dosage and administration based on your dog’s body weight. In addition to treating with tapeworm dewormer, take steps to control fleas and rodents on the premises in order to prevent reinfection; otherwise, another round of the tapeworm dewormer for dogs will be necessary. This is especially true in cases of tapeworms transmitted by fleas where reinfection is almost certain to occur if fleas are not removed from the animal and its environment. Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism. Keep away from children.

  • Only 5 pills per bottle!
I'm glad tapeworm meds are now available to dogs without going to the vet. What makes me mad is that it didn't say how many pills to give my dogs by weight. There are only 5 pills per vial. The weight on the back specifies 3 for my medium size dog, and 5 for my XL dog which is more than sold in one vial. There are no dosage specifications shown in these photos. I had to go back to purchase another $30 vial that day to treat my larger dog so they were both treated. Show the dosing in the photos please!!!!!! ... show more

  • Quick and effective!
Found live tapeworms in our dogs stool, and found little rice looking dead ones in the hair around his buns, so we knew he was infected. I bought this to see if I could treat the dogs at home (we have two) before paying $500.00 to the vet. I have to admit, I didn't think this would work, because most things like this dont, but this was amazing. Turned out both dogs had tapeworm, and the day after we gave them the tablets (you only have to give them one dose) we saw a massive amount of the worms all coming out in the doody dead/not moving. This lasted about two days and then "tape" ered off (sorry can't resist the pun!). Within three days, no more rice around the bun hair, and no more coming out, and that was it. The tapeworm never returned....they tell you you may want to re-dose at two weeks to ensure they don't get reifected as the larvae hatch, but we never saw them again. Great product, no side-effects (it mentioned possible loose stool and lethargy, but we had none of that. Very happy. ... show more

  • Amazingly Effective and Fast Acting!
I first used this de-wormer on a litter of 8 week old husky puppies that were displaying signs of having worms back in 2021. Sorry to be gross, but within an hour they were literally pooping out straight clumps of what looked like white spaghetti (aka tapeworms). It was disgusting, but the product worked super fast and within 4 hours or less they were parasite free, happy, healthy puppies (bonus there were no side effects). Then in 2022 I used the cat version on an adult male Maine Coon cat and though I couldn't see if it was as effective as the dog version (due to him covering his poop in the litterbox), within a day he was back to his normal self. I just purchased another bottle of the dog de-wormer yesterday due to my 10 month old husky displaying signs of worms after killing and partially eating an opossum about 2 - 3 weeks ago. And once again within 2 hours it started working and she had "spaghetti butt" poops as me and my husband termed it. Within 5 hours she was all cleaned out and seems to be parasite free and happy. ... show more

  • Playing with possum
My dog apparently got a possum in the yard. He didn't eat it but must have carried it around to play with before I discovered it. Low and behold a week later he had a worm segment sticking out of his butt. I always thought his monthly heartworm medicine prevented other worms as well but apparently not. I treated him with this and it wiped them right out. ... show more
