This was a birthday gift for my 4 year old grandson, who is a Star Wars fan. He has a 6 year old brother and they are both loving playing with them! They are small enough that little hands can handle them. I expected that for the price they would be very “crackly” sounding so it would be hard to understand what the other was saying. I’m happy to announce that they have very good quality sound and work at a distance of 20-30 feet, which is great for 2 little boys. I got this as a gift for my nephew and he absolutely loves it! The packaging is totally on point and it's a piece of cake to use! The walkie talkies work up to 500 feet and they're super cool. The media could not be loaded. I got this for a 6-year-old's birthday who was being a Stormtrooper. I like the idea of Stormtrooper and Darth Vader walkie talkies. I also got these because these were almost the only thing that didn't come with a weapon. 2 AA batteries are required for each walkie talkie which is not included. It says it works up to 500 feet but I wasn't able to test that far. At home the sound was loud enough to hear. However, you could barely hear it in a larger area. I was planning to have the child find me but had to have a change of plans. They do look cheap, but this price range I think it is decent. ... show more

Here's my honest review - my son LOVES these but can barely use them because though they say the range is 300 feet, it picks up the radio at the nearby firehouse. Well more than 300 feet away. So we hear a lot of interference. That said, these clearly work, and work well.

One of them isn’t working right when you press the button down and sometimes we hear other people talking through them when it’s not being used. I ended up scaring my kids and telling them their ghost in the house and they want to talk to you and now they don’t use it lol. It sometimes doesn’t give good signals. ... show more
