This light is brighter than just about any flashlight I have. In fact both lights are equally bright. I am certain I could use this to ride my bicycle at night as well as using it as a work light, when the power is out or for numerous other purposes. It truly is 1200 lumens. I haven't had it long enough to talk about battery life.

First, I bought a $10 100 lumen headlamp (flat LED, similar to the headlamp being reviewed here.) I used this 100 lumen version to extend my work time outside while doing some wood siding repairs and painting. It worked very well, and I was able to work much longer in the dusk light, and do touch-up work in the dark. That let me have overnight dry time for paint and/or wood repair putty. So, I looked online to see if there were any similar headlights that were brighter. I found this one, claiming 1200 lumens. I could not tell from the description if the spotlight was 1200 lumens vs the flat LED band being 1200 lumens. (I still don't know. The description is crappy.) But, the flat, long band of LED lights is definitely brighter than my 100 lumen version. I certainly don't know if it is 1200 lumens, but it is definitely bright enough for working on a project in the dark. The spotlight, to my surprise, cannot be turned on at same time as the LED light. You can turn on the LED light at full or partial power, or you can turn on the spotlight at full or partial power -- but not both. The ON/OFF button cycles thru LED (hi, lo) Spotlight (hi, lo) OFF. The On/Off "button" is difficult to feel with your fingers, since it is the same level as the surroundings, but with some markings that are difficult to feel with your sense of touch. So, this is another design failure. You have to get used to feeling where the button is -- something that can only come with time. I did not use the motion sensor (don't have any use for it, really). I did not use for any extended period of time. So, I can't address the battery longevity. But, it is rechargeable, using USB. It came charged, but I added charge before using.

El artículo es muy bueno, todas sus funciones trabajando como lo dicen los detalles del artículo, el sensor excelente, muy cómodo a la hora de usarlo, puede estar con el hifas y la correa no te marca la piel ni nada por el estilo. Lo único malo es la durabilidad de la batería que no es mucha, quizás dure al rededor de 40 minutos sin el uso constante, por suerte trae dos artículos que facilitan el cambio cuando uno de los dos está sin batería. Por lo demás todo esta excelente.

Great concept for a headlamp. Bright light, multiple settings and a spotlight too. I like that there are multiple colors for teammates to keep track of their own. My only criticism is that, although it throws a widely lit area, the led strip light cannot be aimed. I have to pull this down right over my eyebrows for best lighting at arms length for close up work. Perhaps if the spotlight was adjustable?
