Top Amazon Reviews

  • Nice product
First I will disclaim my review by saying that I originally got this blow from this seller but it unfortunately came in damaged. The seller was nice enough to accept the return that was relatively easy to do ,other than it needs pick up because of the lithium battery and that takes extra time. But considering my hunt mentioned below, this might actually be very appealing direction still by getting it online. Eventually, I decided to get this product locally so it wouldn't come in damaged. Getting this blower with 7.5 ah batteries from Home Depot is next to impossible. I checked all the stores online and it told me which ones have this specific blower but after actually going to the store, stores confirmed they don't have these stocked. They have plenty of the ones with 5.0ah batteries but non with 7.5. I probably checked around 6 stores and always the same case. I ended up getting my blower thru ACE Hardware. I had to look up a specific store online that had this particular model, called to confirm they have it actually in the store and luckily they did. (Total shout out to ACE Hardware because they actually had a few stocked ready to go with batteries charged and assembled and also showed me the basics of how to use it) Now about the blower itself. After getting a few inches of snow - about 3in over night I was able to finally use this thing for the first time. It is incredibly easy to start. And very light which makes it really easy to push thru the snow. It has levels of what strength you want the machine to go thru snow. Which you can easily adjust. We have a pretty large horseshoe driveway with an extended side for the garage so that was one of the reasons I wanted the stronger batteries. This morning I was able to clean it all out not running out of battery. I used about medium strength to clean 50% of the driveway and high strength to do the other 50%. I had also the lights turned on for entire time as it was still dark. It does a great job, and I love that I can adjust the top shaft wherever it throws the snow out with ease. The only something to consider is that if you have a driveway like mine that has slight inclination to it, it will require some pushing and it will wear you eventually out. Flat surface not a problem at all. But as soon as you are pushing up, the snow, the weight of the machine + snow, the slippery conditions where the machine starts sliding, start to get to you. After my clean up I did charge both of my batteries and they are ready to go again. (Charger is made for one battery to charge at the time so that's something to keep in mind too.) Over all I am pretty impressed with this machine as a few people told me to just get gas because it won't be strong to our driveway. (Pictured above there is only 1/3 of our driveway.) They were very much wrong. ... show more

  • Works better than expected
Finally got to use this snowblower. Didn’t have a bunch of snow only a couple of inches. Snowblower worked great especially where the snow was deeper. Easy to use and threw the snow far into the yard. Got the job done in record time. 3 car garage wide driveway, on a slope, about 70 feet long. Did driveway, including what snowplow left me in street and sidewalks, maybe 150 feet worth. Used 3/4 battery. ... show more

  • Mine didn't appear exactly new.
Mine came not factory sealed, had scuff marks on top of the unit, and the batteries had definitely been sitting on a dirty surface and had some dust on top. I possibly received a floor model and am slightly disappointed. Also, I didn't realize the charger only charges 1 battery at a time, which is not a terribly big deal. ... show more

  • Easy to use.
I love it, very easy to setup and use. My only wish is that it was self-propelled. It took me an hour, battery’s lasted through it. It was hard for me to push through the tallest drifted part. 50 years old, 106 lbs, 5’2”, but did it.

  • Buyer beware
I was excited to get this electric snow blower and other reviews were good but sadly it does not work as advertised. It starts right up and is fairly quiet but it cannot remove the snow. We just got our first snow of about 3" and it could not handle it. I had to push the blower as it does not self propel and the snow kept building up in front of it. It was a struggle and the chute kept clogging up. This was not a heavy wet snow. I sorry but I will be returning it. ... show more

  • Cheaply put together Snowblower from China. Buy a Gas Powered Snowblower instead!
Don't waste your money on this POS! Day 1 Snowblower arrives FEDEx. I take it out of the box and plastic parts start hitting the ground. Most these parts were for the wheels, and also the battery charger had one of the four metal fins bent backwards. The pic shows it after i got a pair of pliers and straightened it out. Then I had to go register the warranty information to make a claim, so they sent me out some of the parts that went on the wheel, but didn't send me the part that broke in half you can see in the pics above. So, now I have to call them back to get the one part they forgot to send. Now, the snowblower itself I got to use once so far. It is useless on wet slushy snow we get here in the mountains of Colorado and just ended up pushing the snow like a plow. On the colder crisper snow on the north side of my house it did do alot better. I have a big honking gas powered snowblower that makes this one look like a broom sweeper, but I mainly use that on for the big heavy, deeper snow. I wanted this Ego, for just doing the front of the house and in front of the garage. i'm sure the light fluffy snow this Snowblower would work okay. The other thing, is. This has a paddle like auger that does not cut through snow like a metal auger with blades on it. Not worth the money you have to spend even though I got a deal of $499 on this snowblower which the batteries alone would have cost if you bought them alone. My overall opinion. Follow Up! I have to say the customer service for Ego was good at sending me the Warranty Parts I needed to fix my SnowBlower. So, I will add one more Star for that. ... show more
