The Select Cut Multi-Blade Cutting System is equipped with three interchangeable lower blades: the Mulching Blade, High Lift Bagging Blade, and Extended Runtime Blade.     • Superior to my gas mower in so many ways
I give this a recommendation, and I would absolutely purchase again. This Ego mower has solved many of the issues I had with my old gas mower. Pros: It has the power/torque to brute force longer grass that would bog down my gas mower. The dual blade does a great job of mulching up grass clippings without leaving huge clumped up piles. It's quieter than my gas mower, but the self-propel is annoying high-pitched. I don't have to change oil, gas it up, change spark plugs & air filters. I'm not inhaling and stinking of exhaust. The unit came with a 10AH and 5AH battery, and the 10AH is enough to mow my front and back (1/4 acre) with about 20% juice left. The batteries are quick enough to charge with the 700w charger. Unknown: I've had one spring with it and can't speak to the durability of the unit or longevity of the batteries yet. Cons: The only one is the self-propel. It's useful, and it works fine, but there's a noticeable, awkward, half-second delay from the time you engage the system, to when the mower starts to move. Then, once the system is moving, there's a higher pitched whine the self-propel system adds to the overall noise of the machine. It's something you get used to, but it's there. I'll wear noise-canceling headphones to tune it all out, but my neighbor's Greenworks mower doesn't have either these issues with their self-propel feature. Finally, more of a warning and not a con, but you have to get used to disengaging the self-propel before turning, because it's a back wheel drive system. If you lift the front to do the 180 turn, and the propel is still going, it'll continue pulling you forward. ... show more

First electric mower I have owned. I am impressed with the noise level and performance. I only use mulch option and it works great, it is a dual blade set-up.. Mow off 3-4 inches I have just shy of a quarter acre to mow. I have two batterys: 10AH and a 5AH. I always use mower in self-propel mode. The 10AH will mow about 60% of yard. As soon as battery flashes low charge red light I stop, charge the 10AH, insert the 5AH, sit down, rest have a glass of water, finish mowing and trimming with 5AH. Always have plenty of power. The only problem I have is the mower has a rear flap that drags on the ground. The flap makes it awkward to back up for missed areas and around objects. ... show more

    • Very impressed (with a few caveats)
If I’m honest, this should be 4.5 stars. For the most part it is even better than hoped for! It was 95% preassembled. battery charges relatively rapidly and super easy touch button start is a revelation (will never go back to finicky gas powered mower). It’s considerably quieter than a gas mower as well. Our lawn was longer than normal after a couple weeks of near constant drizzle but the powerful motor got thru it no prob. Battery lasted for the entire law with is bigger than average. Why not 5 stars? The only thing that I can find fault with is the self propelled feature. It is very fast and powerful and I felt like I was being pulled (similar to when the dog walks you vs visa versa). I had to let go at one point and was very grateful for auto shut off. If I could redesign a tiny bit, I’d make a dial that you could adjust speed so that hill use more power but on flat areas just a gentle push would be good. The other thing that was a bit of a bother was attaching the grass shoot but that was likely just me being impatient. Bottom line: I’d buy it again and recommend it for those looking to switch to electric! Easily does the job (just as well as gas powered) and it’s way easier to start (and it starts every time!!!). Also, no oil, no gas mix or winter storage fluid etc => should mean lower maintenence ... show more

I was mixed about getting this mower. Despite an abundance of excellent reviews it was an expensive buy. But then, so too are traditional gas-powered mowers. You can literally operate the EGO minutes upon moving it from the box. It features easy-to-follow instructions and provides several blade options. I’m sticking with the mulch option. It cuts and handles beautifully, and I’m impressed with the self-propelled speed options. I found that once I’m finished I dial the self-propelled setting to off. The battery easily handles my front and back lawns as well as my neighbor’s front lawn. I’ve used it just a few times but so far I’m impressed and see no reason for skepticism regarding buying EGO Power+ mower. ... show more

This mower is amazing! I previously had the older model and was looking to upgrade as I use it for business and cut about 4-5 lawns a week. After 3 months this mower has been a dream! The 2 blade set up really makes a difference over the single blade. Performance can tackle 5ft grass given its dried out. Storage wise It has a little place nestled in the corner of the garage perfectly out of the way. Super easy to use as well. My only gripe would be that sometimes the start button doesn't register my pushes on the first go when I start it up. But I've chocked it up to me not pushing hard enough and it doesn't happen very often. But still something to mention. Overall though not a better deal especially if you pick it up on a sale. ... show more
