I originally purchased a Marshalltown cutter, but returned it due to the poor design. I was hesitant to buy this one because it’s not made in the USA, but then realized the other one wasn’t either — it just had the “assembled in the USA” asterisk attached to it. I install floors for a living with my buddy’s flooring company, and I got tired of always using his Bullet Tools chopper, so I decided to buy my own. I was skeptical because of the low price and where it was made, but honestly, this thing is designed really well. It actually chops better than my friend’s $350 cutter. The handle design is genius. The handle passes completely through the cylindrical piece and is welded on both sides, making it much stronger than my friend’s expensive cutter, which actually broke and had to be re-welded because of its weaker design. The tray is plastic, but it’s reinforced well and feels strong enough. I’ll probably trace it onto a piece of wood and make a wooden tray eventually just for extra durability. All in all, this thing has been holding up great, and I’m really happy with it.

Had 12 mm flooring, AC5 laminate. Easily cut through the material and having it nearby really saved time. This only does end cuts. Does not do cuts the length of the plank.

Cuts very well. Definitely speeds up floor installation vs cutting with utility knife. Found it a pain to move the guide for straight cuts vs angle cuts, but easier to mark the line and cut. Overall happy with purchase.
