The lawnmower is great. So easy to start and has the same battery as our snowblower. The mower is very compact when not using, the handle can compact and fold forward over the mower. It takes up very little space in the garage

    • Metal Deck is a nice upgrade, but it adds weight.

Maybe my batteries are old but every time I cut the lawn something cuts it off (battery red flashing or panel indicated) if I dont keep the blade speed down and not overwork the self propel. Liked my original plastic deck auto speed one little better.

A little more expensive than a gas mower, initially. But the cost in electricity to run is miniscule compared to the effort to go buy gas, buy and change the oil and filter, and put up with the deterioration of today's gas using additives. The wide range of other tools powered by the same battery is marvelous. This is not my first EGO product. This mower folds up about as compactly as possible, and unfolds easily and quickly. Takes a ton less room in the shed. This replaces multiple mowers over the 50 years I've been mowing. All of the previous machines had perfectly functional engines, on a deck completely destroyed by rust. Talk about a PITA to maintain! This one has a very solid thermoplastic deck. It has encountered sticks and stones, but shrugs them off. And the underside of the deck is much smoother than any metal deck I've seen, so clippings do come off more easily from it when I take the time. EGO has a bunch of mowers in the lineup, and it is impossible to find a comparison between them. I've recommended one to the company, and was promised that they're working on one. I'm not as happy with the speed control on mine. It is close to the left hand, but a small reach is needed to adjust it. I liked my last Toro gas mower, where pulling on the "go" bail in front of the handle engaged the clutch to full speed if pulled all the way back to the handle, and less so if not pulled so far. Made it a lot easier to adjust speed when I needed to. I'm also not optimistic about these wheels. They might just be cast, hollow polypropylene, and might not last as long as the rest of the mower. And replacing them doesn't look to be an easy effort. Now I'm waiting for EGO to develop a smart robot mower. In the meanwhile, these EGO mowers are superb. ... show more

I thought I might have trouble putting this mower together, but no problem at all! Open the box and it’s pretty much good to go. It took just a little practice to get used to the controls. I love not having to get gasoline, and the battery does my yard on one charge. It is not heavy to maneuver, but it is good quality. A great purchase! ... show more

At the outset let me say that I own four (4) EGO products: --EGO Power+ LM2130SP 21-Inch 56-Volt Cordless Select Cut Lawn Mower with Touch Drive Self-Propelled Technology --EGO Power+ ME0800 8-Inch Edger Attachment & Power Head --EGO Power+ SNT2110 Peak Power 21-Inch 56-Volt Cordless Snow Blower with Steel Auger --EGO Power+ CH5500 56-Volt Lithium-ion Rapid Charger They are simply the best yard tools I have ever owned: gas or electric. My issue is not with the tool. My issue is with the support that is supposed to backup the tools. The mower comes with two sets of blades: mulching and bagging. During the mowing season I mulch, but in the fall, I like to bag the leaves. EGO's literature indicates that mulching blades will not work with bagging. A couple of weeks ago I attempted to install the bagging blades but discovered that the holes in the blade s were round as opposed to the diamond shape of the mulching blades. I took a picture of the blades and contacted service. I was told that I was outside of the 90 day window but that they would send me the correct blades. Odd that there is a time-limit on getting correct parts. After a week and no contact from support. I replied to the email with my case number on it. No response. I know that they can receive email because I sent photos of the incorrect blades. Next day I called: no human; your call is very important to us interleaved with irritating music. Do you want a call back when someone is available. Yes, I responded. Now I suspect that most people do not mind sitting next to their phone waiting for a call back but I have other things to do. About five hours later I get the callback. I tried again the next day: your call is important, irritating music, call back. Several hours later received the callback; I was gone again. Received an email from EGO that indicated they left a voicemail. NO voicemail. Someone breathed into the phone for about a minute and hung up. I have a vision of a lonely soul, stuffed into a janitors closet, trying to keep up with the support calls. So I could just spend $45 and buy the blades but that dopes not seem right. So I guess I will be mulching leaves this year. ... show more
