    • These EGO guys have got it together
A little more expensive than a gas mower, initially. But the cost in electricity to run is miniscule compared to the effort to go buy gas, buy and change the oil and filter, and put up with the deterioration of today's gas using additives. The wide range of other tools powered by the same battery is marvelous. This is not my first EGO product. This mower folds up about as compactly as possible, and unfolds easily and quickly. Takes a ton less room in the shed. This replaces multiple mowers over the 50 years I've been mowing. All of the previous machines had perfectly functional engines, on a deck completely destroyed by rust. Talk about a PITA to maintain! This one has a very solid thermoplastic deck. It has encountered sticks and stones, but shrugs them off. And the underside of the deck is much smoother than any metal deck I've seen, so clippings do come off more easily from it when I take the time. EGO has a bunch of mowers in the lineup, and it is impossible to find a comparison between them. I've recommended one to the company, and was promised that they're working on one. I'm not as happy with the speed control on mine. It is close to the left hand, but a small reach is needed to adjust it. I liked my last Toro gas mower, where pulling on the "go" bail in front of the handle engaged the clutch to full speed if pulled all the way back to the handle, and less so if not pulled so far. Made it a lot easier to adjust speed when I needed to. I'm also not optimistic about these wheels. They might just be cast, hollow polypropylene, and might not last as long as the rest of the mower. And replacing them doesn't look to be an easy effort. Now I'm waiting for EGO to develop a smart robot mower. In the meanwhile, these EGO mowers are superb. ... show more

    • I love my Ego mower as much as my Ego snow blower
We already had the Ego snow blower, and I am pleased with how well that works. So, when I needed a mower I didn't hesitate to buy an Ego. I already had the 2 batteries and charger from the snow blower, so I just needed the mower. We have just under a half acre, and with both batteries completely full, I have enough battery life to mow the whole yard. I basically just use it as a mulcher, so I don't know how well the bag works, but the mulcher does a very nice job. The mower is light and easy to maneuver. I would buy it again. ... show more

    • The EGO manufacturer is good. I have EGO snow thrower. But delivery of this product was bad.
I have no complaints about the product itself except for the mulching insert. Its removal and re-installation are rather awkward. My major comment will be about the purchase delivery. It was delivered a day earlier without even ringing the doorbell and left on my front porch. I discovered it by accident. This expensive purchase was sitting outside for anybody to take it. Then I, a senior citizen, have to drag the box, which was heavy for me, down the front stairs into my garage. If the delivery driver rang the bell, I would have asked him to place the box near the garage door, thus sparing me hard for my age labor. ... show more

I thought I might have trouble putting this mower together, but no problem at all! Open the box and it’s pretty much good to go. It took just a little practice to get used to the controls. I love not having to get gasoline, and the battery does my yard on one charge. It is not heavy to maneuver, but it is good quality. A great purchase! ... show more

    • A great mower
This mower is just what I have been looking for. My yard is mid size and this is perfect for my needs. The most surprising thing about this mower is it's so quiet. It is also very light. I like to mow in the morning occasionally to beat the summer heat. The only problem with that is the noise from the traditional gas mower. With this mower the noise is minimal. I also use the bagger when I cut and it works way better than my old mower. I love this mower. It takes a couple of times to get used to how light it is. Cutting with this mower is less of a chore and much easier than a gas mower. The deck hight adjuster is also nice. I honestly can't say enough about how much I like this mower. If you've been looking for a battery powered mower this one is worth every penny... ... show more

    • First time owning an e. lawn mower
Bought a used one, and it was in great shape. I was surprised how well it cut. However, don't expect a clean cut on taller grass at lower height, and it will also drain the battery quicker (my grass was like 8 inch - 1ft tall). The following week I cut my grass again after i trimmed it shorter, and it turned out great. On a 5ah battery, I can PROBABLY cut both front and backyard in one go. I suggest having two batteries though for medium size yard. ... show more

    • Second one I have owned.
I ordered a second Ego because my first one quit. It was acquired by trade so no warranty existed. It lasted two years in my posession and the parts to fix and my labor would exceed the price of a new one with 5 year warranty. I mow about 1/2 acre of the typical yard grass mix. I purchased just the mower because the charger and batteries are already in my possession. When one orders the mower with 5 amp battery standard and rapid charger plan on recharging the battery if you have a big area. I use a 7.5 amp which gets me 3/4 of the way through and have a back up five to finish up while the 7.5 is recharging. I like the electric Ego because in our are code says one cannot make noise before 7A in the morning. If it is light I can mow at 6A if so desired. Quiet! ... show more

Trying to be environmentally conscious we purchased this lawn mower! It arrived damaged with a broken wheel. The support for customers to receive assistance is a run-around! Twice the company sent the wrong parts and weeks later we are now told to drive the mower 20 miles for repairs! We have spent hours on the phone or trying to receive a call back! Our order was made last March! We continue to await help! DO NOT expect good follow up service if you are unlucky like we are and receive a damaged mower! The EGo system for customer assistance is broken! Because of the TERRIBLE follow-up customer service we DO NOT recommend this mower! ... show more
