  • Works great, but use the app to unlock all of its potential
Style: 30" w/(2) 6.0Ah Batteries
Really did cut down the Mo time and even though it’s big it’s not too hard to move around, but definitely don’t try to lift it with the batteries in. This thing is a beast, but I will say if you have grass that grows fast you’re gonna wanna work in turbo mode all the time and the app allows you to unlock a lot more power so you really have to put that in. I had to mow and really tall, wet grass and so I put it in super Turbo mode and it went through it no problem. ... show more

  • Best out there period!!!!
Style: 30" w/(2) 6.0Ah Batteries
The most powerful functional versatile push lawn mower I have ever owned. This was my second ego lawnmower as I moved up from 21 inches. This cuts great and is highly maneuverable despite its width. Folds flat and only slightly wider than my 21 inch but basically the same thickness for storage in garage. ... show more

  • Mows great, self-propelled
Style: 30" w/(2) 6.0Ah Batteries
I would give the mower deck 5 stars if I could rate it separately. My lawn looks great. My only complaint with this mower is that the self-propel speed doesn’t ramp up at all. It’s instantaneously on to whatever speed you have it set to. At well over 100 pounds, it’s a lot of weight to maneuver in corners. I’m slowly training myself to pulse the power to the wheels on and off in short bursts or to just plain push and pull the mower back and forth in tight spaces. I had been riding a lawn tractor for 25 years before this with a hydrostatic transmission so this is a big change. I get almost exactly 60 minutes of cutting time on one pair of 6 Ah batteries. This is in 4-5” tall St. Augustine grass that I’m cutting to 2.5” tall. The mower can keep up with the cuttings and mulches well. I do spray the underside of the deck with Pam and try to avoid the rain showers when I mow. ... show more

  • Awesome product
Style: 30" w/(2) 6.0Ah Batteries
I can’t say how easy this was to set up. It’s even easier to use. Battery lasts over an hour on medium setting. Folds up for easy storage. Cuts wonderfully.

  • Great mower
Style: 30" w/(2) 6.0Ah Batteries
Light weight and easy to use. Low noise. Perfect for a level lawn. My yard is about 3/4 acre. I use a 21” Ego mower to trim before cutting.

  • OK probably but not without issues...
Style: 30" w/(2) 6.0Ah Batteries
It's OK, probably 3.5 stars really but not without some issues... The mower was straightforward to unpack and set up, taking approximately 10 minutes. The cut quality was satisfactory, using the mulch plug and mowing slightly dew-wet grass with the supplied standard blade and speed 2. I would estimate it to be around 80-90% of the quality achieved with a Honda HRX in the same conditions. The deck appears to lack suction, so the grass pushed flat by the front wheels was not always lifted by the blades, resulting in lines of stragglers. The self-propelled drive was disappointing. The maximum speed is quoted at 4mph, but this mower felt slower than my Honda HRX (3.6mph) in use. During the mow, I felt as if I was being held back. The drive engagement lacked finesse; it feels as if it is either on or off. When engaged at maximum speed, it generates some wheel judder. I could prevent or reduce this issue by pushing the deck as I engaged the drive, but a slightly slower ‘ramp’ up of the speed would be an improvement. The mower was much quieter than a gas equivalent, but the drive motor has a slightly annoying whine. The battery life was good. Mowing approximately 16,000 sqft on speed 2, the two supplied 6Ah batteries were showing 20% and 40% respectively at the end of the mow. The low weight relative to a 30-inch gas mower made the unit relatively easy to use, requiring not more effort than a 21-inch gas mower. It would still be beneficial if the front wheels were castors to assist with turns, but the unit is not significantly more difficult to work with than a 21-inch deck. Edit: April 9, 2026 The slow maximum speed issue I mentioned originally was resolved using the EGO Bluetooth app. The mower’s maximum speed was limited to a few stops below its 4mph maximum out of the box. By raising the speed in the app, i was able to overcome the slowness issue I had experienced. Swapping to an AB3001D EGO 30” Mower Replacement High-Lift Blade improved the deck’s suction and cut quality. The downside was that energy usage was significantly higher using the slightly higher mowing speed and the high-lift blades. It increased for 0.38 kwh to 0.71kwh, which meant I had to use four batteries. ... show more

  • Monster Machine
Style: 30" w/(2) 6.0Ah Batteries
Very powerful and nice wide cut. It mulched longer grass easily and was easy to maneuver. A big step up from my 21" mower. Highly recommend.

  • Don't waste your money!
Style: 30" w/(2) 6.0Ah Batteries
My first battery mower and was excited to try it out but can't say I'm all that happy with the purchase after cutting my half acre yard once. It seems to cut fairly well but the blades need to be set to turbo mode which is going to drain the battery faster. Got half the yard done and batteries were almost completely depleted. The speed can be set on the self propel feature but it's jerky at startup on anything but the slowest settings. Seems to be a simple on/off engagement of the drive, no ramp up to quicker speeds. When set to a medium or high speed I feel a definite "clunk" when the drive engages which makes me question long term reliability since I'm on and off the throttle quite often while cutting. It also feels like the mower is being jerked away from you. If you cut in a back and forth motion making 180 degree turns it works ok since you disengage the self propel when turning. I usually cut by making squares around the yard and when making the 90 degree turns with the drive engaged, or even lifting off/on the drive quickly you can feel it jerking and binding. Do not have these issues with my current gas mower. Ergonomics with the handle are also poor. Need to hold one of the propel buttons on the handle constantly while pulling the blade engage bar to the handle which can get uncomfortable due to its angle. Also need to turn a dial at the same time if you want to adjust speed. They could implement an easier throttle control system. My current gas mower has a similar blade engage bar but has a handle that moves forward and back acting as a progressive throttle which is much easier to use and doesn't force your hands/wrists into uncomfortable positions. I'm coming from using a gas powered 28" mower that was quite easy to use but unfortunately can no longer find parts. Understand that it takes time to adjust to something new but some features are just poorly designed and literally painful to use. ... show more
