The EGO 56V 2x 5.0Ah ARC Lithium™ Battery uses industry-leading technology to deliver Power Beyond Belief™. Its patented ARC Lithium™ design keeps the battery from overheating by pushing heat away so your equipment runs longer at full power. Its durable, shock-resistant design protects batteries from drops and the elements. Intelligent power management monitors and optimizes each individual battery cell to maximize power, performance, and runtime. Each 5.0Ah battery features a fuel gauge with built-in indicator lights that show how much runtime is remaining in 20 percent increments. Each 5.0Ah battery fully charges in 30 minutes with the EGO POWER+ Turbo Charger (CH7000), 40 minutes with the Rapid Charger (CH5500), 70 minutes with the 320W Charger (CH3200), and 100 minutes with the Standard Charger (CH2100). Two 5.0Ah batteries will fully charge in 80 minutes with the EGO Power+ Dual-Port Charger (CH2800D). With the industry’s most advanced battery technology, every EGO tool delivers or exceeds the power and performance of gas without the noise, fuss, or fumes.

These batteries hold their power pretty darn long and charge up fairly quickly as well. One battery will run my Ego 765 blower in Turbo mode for 20 to 25 minutes. Which I think is pretty good. I'm sure it would go well over a half hour at normal speed, but I use it mostly for drying my cars and leaf blowing. It all cases, I'm in turbo mode. I can dry my car in 5 minutes in Turbo mode. I just wish they were cheaper. They have not dropped in price at all, I bought two other batteries (the same) two years ago at the same price. I also have several attachments for snow and trimming, so I never want to run out of power. But a thousand bucks for batteries? Wow. ... show more

Factory replacements are the way to go. My oldest battery is 7 years old, and it has gradually lost its capacity. Replacement lasts much longer. This two pack was offered at a great price. There are aftermarket batteries that are much less expensive, but I trust these genuine Ego Batteries. Those not so much. ... show more

So far I have not had the courage to try off-brand batteries for my Ego power+ tools. This size is about as weighty as I want to have to carry around on hand-held tools. I purchased these batteries mainly because they are ego, the same as My blower is. I purchased more powerful batteries than what came with my blower and so far, I am quite happy with them. I will purchase more in the future. Should I get a couple more seasons out of them. I highly recommend this to anybody interested in keeping with the ego brand.
