  • Does a decent job
Size: 12-15 Eggs
I got this incubator as I did not want to invest in a more expensive one until I knew I was going to stick with hatching. I have now done 2 hatches of quail with a 3rd incubating now. I use just the Styrofoam base around the bottom of the incubator to help maintain temp/humidity while still allowing full visibility. With my setup, the temperature reading on the incubator thinks it is 2-3 degrees warmer than it actually is and there is no humidity reading. Highly recommend using a secondary thermometer/hygrometer. I use the Govee Smart one. My first two hatches had a little over 50% hatch rate using shipped eggs. Using the provided egg turner slots, you can easily fit 35 Quail eggs. Overall I would definitely recommend this as a starter incubator as long as you get the secondary thermometer/hygrometer to accurately monitor. ... show more

  • Good for the price.
Size: 12-15 Eggs
Incubator works. Used it to hatch two duck eggs, one took and one didn’t. Not the fault of the incubator just the eggs. Doesn’t show humidity so you will have to buy something to put inside for that. Wish I would have gotten one for the temp just to make sure. My duck egg didn’t pip until well after the 28 days (maybe about two weeks after) and I had to assist the hatch when it did finally try so I feel like something was off. Only other thing is I feel like it wasn’t deep enough to keep the duckling in there. He couldn’t stand up all the way. Duckling is thriving. ... show more

Like it a lot but not very accurate on temp.

  • So so results
Size: 12-15 Eggs
I have hatched three times with this. Each time with my own home raised eggs. The incubator is not too difficult to use, though I had some difficulty keeping humidity levels where they were supposed to be. (I used a cheep thermometer / humidistat to track). Out of 15 eggs each time I got 5, 3, and 4 live chicks from the three attempts. ... show more

  • Decent incubator for the price
Size: 12-15 Eggs
Hatching eggs is truly an incredible experience. I used eggs from our backyard chickens. I attempted to hatch 9 chicks. 5 hatched and are very healthy. Interestingly, the chicks that did not hatch were all situated on the same far right side of the incubator. My guess is that there is a design flaw making this side a lower temperature. The egg turner works great, the candler is fine. I bought a hygrometer/thermometer and the temperature was lower than the setting stated, I often had to raise the temperature to 101 or 102 to get to 99.5. I monitored the humidity and added water as needed. My other concern is that it needs to be taller. The chicks could not stand up fully. I think this is a good option for a fun family activity but I’ll probably get a better incubator for next time. ... show more

  • Yet another absolutely useless incubator...but...
Size: 12-15 Eggs
Please, save your money and buy something from the US. The broken English "instructions", don't even explain what some of the parts are for. I'm not an uneducated moron, but after dealing with this disaster, I feel like one. Update...once I figured out how to use the incubator, unfortunately, none of my viable eggs hatched. Humidity level is an issue with this machine. After contacting the seller, due to their outstanding customer service, I bumped my rating to 4 stars. Thank you to the seller for your responses. ... show more

  • We got chicks!
Size: 12 Eggs
I liked how easy the product was to use. We started with 12 chicken eggs. We ended up with 4 chicks in the end. We did not clean the eggs and a couple were dirty. I had one egg get a bacterial infection, one egg was not fertilized and two other eggs did not hatch. We had 3 chicks that died in the incubator after hatching. We believe that they died, because we turned down the temperature in the incubator like the directions said. We turned the temperature back up and we were able to put 5 chicks in the brooder that were alive. One died within a few days and the last 4 seem very healthy. I would say that it is important to wash your eggs if they are dirty. The dirty eggs did not hatch. I would say that it is also important to test the temperature of the incubator with another thermometer. Make sure the lid is put on correctly or the incubator will have issues with keeping temperature and do not throw away your Styrofoam. We are going to start another batch of eggs very soon. My kids loved watching the chicks hatching. ... show more

  • Isn’t what I thought it would be
Size: 12-15 Eggs
I was excited to get this incubator because I thought it would be easier to track and control the humidity levels on it but it definitely isn’t. I was expecting it to show what the humidity was in the incubator and it doesn’t. It also doesn’t have an easy way to refill the water for the humidity because to see what levels you are supposed to be filling to is under the tray that’s holding your eggs. It also says do not open incubator often but says to check your water levels often with there being no other way to check your water levels or fill it easily without opening it. I was very disappointed and will be sending it back ... show more
