We spent over 80.00 on eggs to hatch at home. Both incubators failed us. Resulting in several chicks not making it. HOW? The temperature on the incubator never held its temperature and there was no humidity gage. To hatch chicks properly humidity levels and temp have to be accurate. Many times the temps on the incubators were off by as much as 5 degrees. We waited so long to write the reviews because it takes several weeks to hatch eggs. Def DONT RECOMMEND.

1. Lid is REALLY hard to get back on. You have to “crunch” it in on one side, then push in the other, etc. 2. Temp. is NOT accurate (see photos) Buy a thermometer/hygrometer for inside 3. Wrap it in a Blanket/Towel. It won’t get over 96-98F otherwise 3. If using for quail, manually turn daily. The automatic turner roughed them up big time (or buy the right inserts) 4. Don’t bother using the water bottle. I poured a single DROP of water at a time down the tube to maintain humidity 5. I recommend dry hatching until lockdown 6. I set it to 103F (the highest) because that equals about 98-99 degrees in reality 7. Candling light does not work for quail eggs Use special flashlight or your phone flashlight in a dark place Worked ok for the price. Have fun!

Do not buy this. We lost 23/24 fertilized eggs. My kids and I are Heart broken. Tried it twice. 2nd time bought a separate thermometer and humidity gauge. Does not hold temp or humidity.

Puse 12 huevos, al principio no podía controlar la humedad siempre estaba en 85% Pensé q no lo lograría pues llevaba ya casi 20 días con mis huevos antes de meterlos a la encubadora,al tercer día por fin logré mantener la humedad en 50 % no pongas la botella de agua ,yo solo agregaba de 2 a 3 militros de agua cada 7 horas o aveces 5, A pesar de todo nacieron 9 🐤 sanos y muy fuertes, uno murió no logró salir y los otros dos no terminaron de formarce, , la incubadora hiso muy buen trabajo , Nesecitas comprar un higrometro para medir la humedad , no nesecite mover los huevos manualmente como algunos lo an echo. Deje que la encubadora hiciera su trabajo aveces se amontonaban los huevos pero después ella misma los volvía acomodar al día 18 quite la rejilla y a los 20 días empezaron a eclocionar, Estaba muy emocionada y nerviosa al escuchar a los 🐤 piar dentro del huevo,

So, I currently have it set to 103 and only a couple of eggs out of 16 are showing development after 6 days. The inside temp reads as 97. A waste of paid for eggs. I moved the two that weren't developing to another incubator so hopefully they still make it.

I really wanted to like this incubator! I love the large viewing area, but thats about the only good thing I can say about it. The temperature is unreliable and does not match what the machine is set to (verified with Govee and a traditional tank thermometer). The water reservoir thing is a joke. Its more of a hassle to try to just take it off and plug up the hole. This was my second attempt at trying to make a "cheap" incubator work. I wish I would have saved my money and gone with a different brand.

I was expecting a 50% hatch rate because it is not possible to keep around 50% humidity. Don’t use the water bottle, just ad an ounce of water each time or fill up the rectangular opening then wait until humidity drops under 50% to add more water. Temp on this incubator is +/- .5degrees compared with a thermopro thermometer/hygrometer. I’ve only use it for 15days so it is hard to tell if this unit last.
