  • EXCELLENT HAND HELD VAC
Color: Green
Just got this one to replace a Pool Master vac that died after a few shorts months. So far, this one is great. Simple to use and works well. Good enough battery. Good enough suction for sand and light dirt on bottom. Easy to attach to long pole. Too early to speak about durability and life because it's too new. But so far, I love it. Update-it's been over a year. basically 2 pool seasons and I love this thing. I use it once or twice a week for light stuff. Mostly sand as I seem to have an ongoing sand issue (that's another issue). It is great for that and small leaves. It has enough suction and is so easy to clean. And the filter is washable and re-usable. It lasts long enough to go back and forth in my 16x32 pool. At least 40 min. I connect it easily to a long pole from my skimmer. I've had 2 Pool Master vacs for the same work load and there is no comparison. I have not had to use my regular pool vac since I got this. No long hose to drag out and put away. This does the trick so nicely and is so easy and pleasant to use. I hate to think where I'd be without it. ... show more

  • The good reviews are right
Color: Blue
I bought this vacuum primarily for vacuuming dead algae. It had a discount price for "Prime Days." I am completely satisfied. It is well thought-out and well designed, avoiding all of the annoying features of a previous hand-held vac that I used. It seems "built to last," the owner's manual is helpful, and it makes the job "almost enjoyable." I have a 16' x32' pool that a previous owner set in with no adequate filtration system. So it's a challenging environment for this vacuum which has proved that it's not a toy or "just for spas or kiddie pools" yet comes at a reasonable price. UPDATE: The battery life has always been much better than promised (two hours, not one) but after daily use during the warm weather the unit would sometimes fail to charge completely. Now, however, in the much colder weather I'm still swimming daily (in a wetsuit) & the unit is operating more strongly than ever. The suction is strong & the unit consistently takes a full charge. Water temp is in the low 50's. The cold has given the unit new life! Further update: to avoid the problem of having the battery not take a full charge, the manufacturer says to not fully deplete the battery when you use it. With all due respect, I don't think that's the problem since I've had the battery fail to take a full charge under both circumstances. The "fix" that works is to plug the unit in to recharge IMMEDIATELY after you shut it off. Don't leave it lying around somewhere for ANY length of time. I've been following this plan consistently now and have had zero battery issues. Battery charge is still good for 90 - 100 minutes in 43 degree water temp. ... show more

  • Works well
Color: Blue
I bought this so I didn't have to use my other pool vacuum that attaches to the hose. This is a handy to have for light debris or a fairly quick once over. It will suck up leaf debris although not ideal for a large clean up. Works very well to get the small particles of sand or rocks but you do have to make sure you go over the section a few times or very slowly as the suction hole in the bottom is rather small. Very easy to clean the debris catcher. Quick charging. Does not sink. Impressed by size and weight, also great suction strength. Overall a good buy for a quick and easy pool cleaning ... show more

  • Great pool cleaner
Color: Green
I have a 20/44 ingrown pool and it does a great job. I use my long handle and hook it up to the cleaner. It’s rechargeable and works for 1hr or more. Very easy to use and picks up everything great. Love it I don’t have a lot of leaves so can say how well it would on leaves. I bet it would work just as well. It has a free return give it a try for the money it’s worth a try. I had one that was a robot and it wouldn’t go to the deep end and I payed $600 for it. Jink returned it and saved money by getting this one. Again I love it. Good luck ... show more

  • A very good product 3
Color: Green
I have in the meantime read all the reviews and the questions and answers about the Efurden Vacuum. What strikes me, is, that so many buyers are over the moon with their purchase, and that some describe it as not working properly, being faulty or useless. This discrepancy can only be assessed by logical thinking: No producer for Amazon will send out faulty products (I guess there might be a less than 1 % margin of faultiness when the product arrives at the user). Therefore, the conclusion is, that the mistake is not with the product, but with the user. Thus, logically thinking, which mistakes might occur with the first time user? It could be the case, that the user doesn't study the user manual carefully with the product by his side, or even not at all!! Practice over theory. But you have to assemble or take apart the gadget with care, until you can handle the vacuum with ease, or you will damage or break the delicate parts from the very start. Getting into the swing of using it successfully will take time and patience and ever refined handling and practice, and a repeated return to the user manual, which some people think they can skip, much to their disadvantage. (Only one example: Although the manual warns about it, we did indeed drop the bottom part of the vacuum on our feet - thank heavens not breaking or damaging anything - neither gadget nor foot. Conclusion: Once bitten, twice shy.) I seems to me, that many mistakes might be connected with a broken or damaged filter, and I found the advice to put the foot end of a woman's nylon stocking over the damaged filter particularly helpful. in the meantime, while using the Efurden vacuum, I have observed milky water coming forth from the two water outlets on the side of the the main vacuum body, something which other users have complained about. The logical conclusion is, that this milky debris can pass through the fine screen of the filter because it is even finer, so that the screen allows it to pass through. But I am not entirely sure whether this conclusion is correct, because in this same cleaning instance the bigger debris all came rushing out with the water into the pool again, when I had finished the cleaning and was pulling the vacuum out of the water. What had happened? Trouble Shooting Point 2 provides the explanation: "The canopy flap which works like a door to prevent the debris from escaping from the filter" had slipped from its position down into the intake shaft below it, and had gotten stuck there. It took me quite some time to find this out, and I wonder, as I mentioned above, whether the white milky water running out of the outlets on the main body above might not be connected with this problem. I will keep observing it. We are still happy with the little Efurden Vacuum. It keeps us occupied - and it won't suck in Maple leaves, as I found out on this occasion; the opening is too small for that. Anyway, I will keep you informed about the further adventures with our little Efurden handheld vacuum. ... show more
