These are very beautiful. The design to reload the bulb is going to make it difficult though. They need to add small decorative nuts/ screws that the fingers grasp instead of the existing minute flat screws. You have to dislodge the bottom to get bulb out. Also the silver plate to align the screws to an existing fixture was hard to match up. The screws didn’t size well. The design appearance is spectacular. Wishing also had high black gloss instead of the matte finish. You can always spray coat it with a high gloss before installing too. If they had the easy to grasp screws on side for easy light bulb installation this would be 5 Stars. Ill have to try to find a few. We put the decorative warm light LED bulb in them. ... show more

I have used 8 smaller fixtures from this company with no complaint, but this large design is very poor. The glass tube is difficult to install because you need to hold it up in the fixture while manipulating the bottom plate into position so that you can then screw the bottom plate into the main body in 3 places. If you let the glass tube sit on the bottom plate shelf as designed, then the 2 bottom plate screws will pinch the glass as you tighten them and crack it. I put a thin foam cushion on the bottom plate shelf where the glass rests to raise the glass above the 2 screws. Manufacturing quality is mediocre, at best. I don't expect these to hold up for a long time. Hope I'm wrong. ... show more

SUMMARY: It's a very lovely and sturdy light, and if you get a good one it's a beautiful mix of old and modern. Problem is they have bad quality control, so you may get a good one <=25% of the time. Unless you are prepared to do some re-working of the metal frame, or a bunch of return/reordering, purchase these with caution. With a 75% fail rate this should get one star, but the customer service was excellent and I really like the design and I can't give 2.5, so... 3stars. PROS: Sturdy, good coatings, pretty design, a great mix of modern and old in one package. I like the bubbled glass, and with a long Edison style LED bulb it looks fantastic. Should last a long time, and bugs should not be able to get in around the light. Great customer support! I had many problems, and they were fast and courteous. I mean, not more than 24hr between my message and their reply. Extremely proactive and helpful. CONS: The glass shade is bigger than the hole in the fixture where it should be inserted. Bubbled glass is weaker than other forms of glass, so it is more brittle. The socket for the light bulb is not very squarely seated, so using a long Edison bulb will look funky because the bulb won't sit straight up and down in the center of the fixture. DETAILS: I received 4 of these in total, and after the second fail I decided to thoroughly measure them. The fixture has an opening for the glass to fit into that is square, and that square is about 147mm internal clearance on a side, both at the top and at the bottom. Adding to that, the little cross bars are welded into those squares, and they protrude into that 147mm by 1-2mm per side. All total, your clearance is less than 147mm. Sadly, the rectangular glass shade they send along with it is irregularly shaped, and 75% of the glass I received was irregular and would not fit naturally. Each glass shade was wider at one end than at the other - so it may be 130mm(+-10mm) at one end (a good fit), and 150+mm on the other side (no fit at all). You 'might' get half of the shade to fit in, but you won't be able to seat it fully. It will crack sooner or later with it being delicate bubbled glass and the materials expanding/contracting with the outside temperature changes. In total I received 4 of these fixtures (one was a freebie from the mfr to replace a broken glass shade). Of those 4 fixtures, ONE of them had a glass shade fit correctly. For the remaining two I will have to do some creative 're-engineering' to get the glass in without breaking it, and the empty freebie will be spare parts. I have the tools do do what I must, but most people don't/won't spend that kind of time rebuilding a 'new' product. I just really like the design. While emailing with their representative, they were very responsive to my feedback about the problems. So hopefully they will quickly correct their quality issues and this will be a consistently fantastic light to purchase. For now, it's a gamble that you will get one with a good glass shade - you know... one that fits. ... show more
