This thing does everything well. Charging time is always less than 1 hour for me and I charge it just once a week! The distance is great the night light is a life saver. I wish it had a "bark" sensor but that is all it's missing. It really works well and is not very difficult to set up. We did buy a piece of elastic and some cheap 1" buckles to make a collar that doesn't release. It simply stretches over our pups head and then automatically sets itself for the right size for adequate pressure without being too tight or too loose. It has three settings that are very handy. 1) vibrate only 2) shock but lightly (you set the level you want) 3)super shock which will stop him/her in their tracks if you like. (you also set the level to #3 that you would like) Also we like the saftey feature that once you set the levels it takes a bit to get back to those levels so they can't be adjusted by accident. Nice safety so you don't "OVERSHOCK" your pooch. Very humane way to keep your dog in control and if you have control then everyone wins. It's a big safety plus to keep the dog away from hazards. We almost never have to shock our pup and he's bullheaded. When he feels the vibration he freezes and makes immediate corrective action 100% of the time. We made the mistake of buying a cheaper version, and very quickly learned why the "good/trusted brands" were so much more expensive. Save yourself the time and headache, just purchase this one. It's has gentle (not sharp) stimulation, reliable and effective. Best dog investment I've ever made! I have a Siberian husky and training along with this collar has made the difference in my husky's freedom for play and walking. I watched quite a few YouTube videos for training and did months of consistent trial and error with Kelani, but now after having the collar for about 2 years, we'd be lost without it. Now, I just put it on her and she listens much better without and remote signals! But this again is a training TOOL! The collar with no good, consistent training is useless. But the key is the long prongs and making sure it's in the right position on the dogs neck so they can feel the vibration. I love that the collar is waterproof and has a blinking and constant light setting for night walks. For my husky the lower levels doesn't phase her so we had to go up quite a bit for her to feel it, because of all the hair but once she does the vibration level works very well and there's no need for the higher shock levels. But once again.... Trial and error... Start low and see what level your dog responds and start there. Great tool and would recommend for anyone willing to put it the work to train their dog to respond off leash. ... show more

Have bought two for use on my German Shepherds. Works well and does not cause them harm. Also has a great night light on it for going out in the dark. Had good distance, I use it on my 5 acre property and can recall the dogs without a problem. Battery life is good. Lasts all day without a problem.

The ET-400 is a 3/4 miles wireless communicating tool why we go on a hike or to the woods. This thing has worked decent for majority of the time. The standby battery could've been extended as 2 days all day standby takes most of its fuel. The yellow cover plastic has tendency to come off not sure why, while it pops off for no reason it is also delicate and can be very brittle. My most disappointment was stimulus rods that this thing has a total of 2, one has stopped working within the first year. The second rod was recently losened the stimulant effect altogether after 18 months. This resulted in the product being defective now. The custom wing curogan anti-skin sensitive wad also purchased to tailored to my flurry friend needs. ... show more
