I really like sewing. It's shockingly affordable and useful, not to mention it's lightweight and portable. Best for beginners or small projects, although I use it for more complicated things and I'll make cute clothes and toys for my kids. This machine turned out better than expected! I'm just learning to sew and this is perfect for beginners to learn with detailed instructional videos that come with many colors of thread.It is easy to thread and the top load bobbin works perfectly. The 2 way sewing is the most practical for me to control the sewing speed with the pedal. For beginners like me, there is also a switch on the machine that allows you to control the speed with two settings. This switch is very handy because it allows me to adjust the sewing speed to my needs. It makes learning to sew much easier. I love the design so much. I will recommend it to my friends who also love DIY!

This is the second one I have purchased, the first was given to my mother who particularly liked the sewing machine, she told me it was the best she had ever used, I then bought a new one for me and like the first one I received the sewing machine very quickly. I am a sucker for novelties so the vast majority of my clothes need fixing, I have tried 12 stitches which has been great fun and am currently learning to sew with a twin needle. I will use it all the time, great product!

I purchased this as a gift for my 12 year old niece, at first she told me the foot pedal wasn't working, I contacted the buyer who told me it needed to be plugged in for it to work, which really solved our problem. We have since made lots of pretty things and it's worth noting that it runs very quietly and is perfect for my niece. Love this lovely sewing machine!

The media could not be loaded. First of all, for the price you're getting a sewing machine that makes good stitches. It has about 40% metal parts, and about 60% plastic parts (my best estimation anyway), and many of the moving parts are plastic, which means they'll wear out fairly quickly. There are pros and cons about each of the various features. I've noted some below. 1. The tension is adjustable and the instructions are clear as to how to do that. 2. The length of the stitches are adjustable, but only by turning the wheel to one of the 16 stitch patterns. For example, pattern one is a shorter length straight stitch, pattern two is a medium length straight stitch, pattern three is a long straight stitch, and pattern four is a basting stitch. 3. There's a reverse direction feature for backstitching. 4. There's a light, though it's not super bright and it doesn't light up a great deal of space. You'll probably need an additional light if you intend to sew for more than a few minutes. 5. The threading is manual. You may want to invest in a bent nose tweezer to get the thread through a couple of the holes, since they're closed circles (not the kind of guides where you loop the thread through a small opening in the circle). 6. The instructions are fairly clear as far as they go, though they mostly cover how to plug in the foot pedal and power cord, how to thread the machine and adjust the tension. They do not, however, teach you what each of the 16 patterns are generally used for. In addition they explain how to make a buttonhole, though the explanation requires concentration to understand what they're saying. 6. One con I must note is that there is no instruction on how to oil the working parts of the machine, and indeed, there is no way to easily open up the machine to do that. Without regular oiling most working machine parts will seize up in a short period of time and the machine will become useless. The machine housing can be removed by unscrewing the screws in the back of the machine, which I did in order to oil it before using it, but should you decide to do this, be aware that the screw heads on fairly soft and strip easily if you don't use a perfectly fitting Philips head screwdriver. 7. Lastly, the machine has a slide button that can be set to off, low (L) or high (H). Be aware that once you move the button from the off position the machine automatically starts to stitch. You have to slide the button back to off to stop the stitching. The drawback to this is that you can't use both hands to guide you're project. You have to do it one handed when starting and stopping stitching. You can use the foot pedal, which allows you the use of both of your hands for your project,but the foot pedal doesn't operate smoothly. The stitching will stop and start, hitching here and there. To show you what I mean I've attached a video. In summary, for what you're paying, this is a good, functional machine. It would be a whole lot better if the working parts could be oiled, but since the machine is designed and with no access you're essentially buying a machine that you can use a couple of times before it seizes up and you have to throw it out. But all in all, as a beginner machine or backup in an emergency this should do just fine. I wouldn't suggest it's use by any child under the age of about 12.
