This particular edge gel smells pleasant and has a lightweight feel. It leaves no heavy buildup or residue on my scalp and hair at the end of the day. The gel is colorless and you receive a large quantity, making it a superb value. This is one of the best I have purchased so far. I love the consistency and it doesn’t leave flakes. It’s leaves hair moisturized. The scent is mild and I love that it has shea butter and coconut oil to nourish hair Will definitely purchase again.

Black women with course hair, look no more. I have used several other brands. None compares. It smells phenomenal. Slight coconut smell but not at all overpowering. Does not flake all day and has all-day staying power. Be careful of amount used and reapplication over several days as it may appear white if overused. This is not uncommon for other brands. I have purchased other popular name brands from beauty supply and department stores, and I truly found this to be the best around, hands down.     • Fails in Humidity
I live in a humid climate and need real hold. This does not exactly offer hold, but rather just sits on the hair like grease. This gel only seemed to work when I layered it and used a bunch of other gels, temperarily. It appears harder than it feels, and once you rub it into your hair it dissolves. At first, it looks shiny on the edges, but within minutes it is absorbed into the hair and looks greasy. Worse, it builds up overtime and the hair doesn't react much to anything being added to try to get more hold. I would not buy again, since it did nothing my tightly curly, frizzy hair in humid temperatures. People with less porous, looser hair may have better results, but there are better products out there. I was very disappointed because I love other products from this line. ... show more
