My 8 daughter is thin and tall and the 8-10 fits well. The shirt is on the shorter side—but not too short. The pants are ankle length and are slightly baggy. The skirt is made out of slightly thicker material and is slightly large. My daughter is absolutely in love with it! It is a cute costume for the price.

Order for my 9yr old who is tall for her age borderline 10/12 clothes and does wear some size 14. Saw the shirt and was worried it is shorter then expected. She tried it on and it stretched quite a bit. I was pleased with the material. We were careful while trying on the pants because I didn't want to snag them. They are thicker then tights and not very sheer. The colors are bright and she is excited to wear for Halloween. She loved the bright colorful skirt, pull on sleeves and clip in neon hair pieces. Overall the fit is perfect but not much room for layering underneath. Great product. Got the lightning deal price of $16.99 too so totally worth the money. Will edit later to add pic.
